Got thru my 3 hour cleaning job. OMG!!!!! Ouch, ouch, ouch! Then came home and promptly took a 2 hour nap. I've had pain in one form, to one degree or another all my life. Guess with the pain meds I can handle that. (NOT crazy about the side effects of the Norco or any other for that matter, or the chorus of unnamed voices in my head accusing me of "addiction", i.e. weakness)> But that's another story. What chaps my hide is being exhausted, whether I'm active or not. I've tried a myriad of sleep aids over the years, just to find them on my growing "med allergy" list. Usual side effect is terrible nightmares or being groggy ALL the time. Guess I'll learn to accept myself as I am now, (hopefully soon). Have great difficulty trying to get thru to Hubby. He works 10-18 hours a day, drives 2 hours one way to get to work and back, is 10 years younger than I, is strong and has an unbelievable (and maybe harmful and archaic?) work ethic. Hmmm, maybe his is one of those "failure, weakness) voices I hear though that would NEVER be outloud. I volunterr tomorrow at our local food pantry, and although it is sometimes grueling, it is the ighlight of my month. Happy thoughts!

Welcome to the Perseid meteor showers, the "biggies" usually every year. (The Leonids beat 'em one year IMHO).AND today much of the northern hemisphere will see 5 to 99% solar eclipse. How cool is that? Your best bet is to be in the UK or norhtern Spain, where totality is excellent before sundown. Me, I'll get a super duper tiny itty bitty slice of it, so little that it won't be noticeable. New...
