Donald Trump won the election. All I feel is dread, honestly. I have to work with Karen all day, will have to see my dad tonight...wouldn't care if they could agree to disagree, but they can't. Then, am I still gonna be able to get birth control in a couple years? Is my sister's marriage to her wife still gonna be considered legal? Will my best friend, a Mexican woman, be harassed for speaking Spanish?
Also, Van Gogh lost 4-5 ounces...he was doing really well and gaining weight, and now I'm back to being worried about him. I ran bloodwork and it's mostly good other than non regenerative anemia. Most likely GI disease is the issue, but because of his heart disease I can't do much about it. I'm already doing the things that are safe for cardiac disease.
Can I just stay home with these guys?

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

Back at the hospital with Mom. Still waiting on the damn culture. So, all we know at this point is that yeast is part of the issue. She’s back on 3 different medications and fluid.
I started to feel really not good last might. Nauseous and extremely fatigued. That would be the flu vaccine kicking my butt. Today, I’m groggy. Going to hang out with Mom for a while and then go home.
Miki - I feel you. I know that Jackie is going to be really obnoxious. Hoping that Van Gogh can hold his own.

Suffering may endure for a night, but joy will come in the morning.
Maybe that morning will wait for many a night to come, but it will come. Remain vigilant and continue to fight the good fight for women's health freedoms and our much needed healthcare.
Let us all also recognize there are those who see this as a victory and we must embrace all our sisters and brothers just the same. They are our best friends, neighbors, family. Let us rise above those feelings, put our heads down and continue to do the work to liberate women from the oppression happening around the country. Let us focus on working to make a difference in our small ways so that we can continue to get through a time we may perceive as difficult.
Let us each embrace each other, be graceful in transition and focus on what the board is for: recovery from Fibromyalgia. That will require extra care for ourselves for some of us during this time so focus on taking care of yourselves first and foremost. I hope and pray (with prayer candles lit) and continue to put good thoughts out to the universe that our healthcare will remain intact and we will continue to get the support we need. The struggle is real.
In love and strength,
Janelle
Fortunately, I have three such functioning democracies citizens willing to sponsor me.
To JP. Read up about Uruguay. That night lasted 12 years.
I come here to escape it and get support. Respectfully, JP
Mom got covid from the nursing home. This is her fourth time...despite being double vaccinated and boosted (as many boosts as her doc made her get). She is off her bipolar meds due to interactions with heart meds and she's driving me and half her doctors crazy. My husband's implant (tooth) is failing and needs to be replaced. I am looking forward to hanging out with our old Marine buddies for Veterans Day.
I hate talking about politics, but I will say this. I come from a family of immigrants whom fled a dictatorship in the 90s. And my husband's family were boat refugees from the Vietnam War. Both our families are refugees. Having lived through and escaping an actual dictator and civil war, our country is nowhere near that. So we are not worried. It is not the end of the world.
Otherwise....
I am wishing happiness and wellness to everyone.
