Today is Leo's surgery, so a special shout out to her today, hoping everything goes smoothly!
This morning is just gross out, cold and rainy. But later it's going to be sunny and almost 60 degrees. Based on how I'm feeling, that prediction seems accurate. I brought Miki to my parents house today because my dad "doesn't know " if he's going to my house to get pieces of the tree or not. I wish he would just give me a heads up if he does instead of coming home and finding out on my own. I think I am gonna get that deadbolt with the keypad, and either a ring doorbell or a camera for inside if I can find somewhere to put it that's not obviously visible and easy to unplug when I'm home, because I don't want it recording me. All this because I can't just get him to text or call if he goes to my house...
Anyway. I hope everyone has a good Wednesday, and that Leo's doing ok. Group hug! (Also if anyone wants to do check in or wants me to stop please tell me! I'm up really early and often get to work early enough to have down time before I turn the phone on)

Lately I've been feeling scared and full of anxiety. I recently found a lump under my nipple. I hurt my back too. I'm in the process of moving. I'm run down. Everything is hard
-
Well, our drought isn't broken but our gutter is. Got two big storms rigth after each other and, wait for it, a tornado warning. Now, I was already running for my go-bag when I heard thunder. The air felt wrong. The sky was getting a color to the west. Been there, lived that, time to hide.No funnel touched down but the radar indicated rotation, and boy was it visible from the ground. Different...

Miki, being that you are on the East Coast, I think it's easier for you to get this rolling, but that being said, if this causes too much stress to start it, please speak up. I don't get on until about 8am CST. By then, I'm sure you're off and settled into work.
Is that Miki girl on the couch? Snoozing away? Awe, such a hunny!
I woke up feeling better today with the whole pinched nerve thing. Still tight in my back & neck, but the nerve pain is reasonable (finally). And because of that I only woke up once last night. But that was to mainly check on the kids. (with their sleep overs, Danno pulls out the air mattress that has a slow leak. So I go in there and pump it up).
Not much on my agenda for today. Just planning on grilling later, so I'll whip up some potato salad later. And I'm still putzing with cleaning stuff around the house.
And we finally got word about making repairs to the house from that silly water bottle leak. Check is on it's way. Now we can get that taken care of. The funniest thing about it all, is yesterday we were supposed to get a water delivery from them. And we didn't. I'm okay either way. I honestly don't care. But we have some of their bottles here and we have rented their water cooler. So now I'd like to return that. Well, they must have placed our home# on a forwarding list somehow. And now, the calls get routed (you can hear it click a few times over) and no one picks it up.
I'll admit, they got me angry when it was all happening. And I can have a sword for a tongue at times when I'm that angry. Apparently it was too much for this water company. But now I don't know what to do with this equipment, LOL. Ahh, the drama continues, right?
Well, I better go wake the kids. Get them up and rolling. I need to figure out how to multiply and divide Polynomials because Andrew is struggling. I called in my Sis for help. She's already making me feel like I'm dirt for not knowing and even worse for homeschooling. I hate that the most. Anyways, I'm sure this will get added to the drama list I started above!
Gotta run, hope everyone is having a good day today. Or at least all of the lights on your way are all green today!
I am doing worse every day. Luckily I got into my rheumy yesterday and he is upping the Lyrica for now till we can get me into pain management. Also, I had a sit down with my boss who it turns out is very close with someone with fibro and was very understanding. He is having me wfh the rest of the week and said to feel free to take PTO if I need to. I am getting stabbing pains everywhere on top of the flu like aching and feeling like my whole body is one big bruise. That is to say nothing of how exhausted I am. I am hoping this extra down time helps.
Wonder that speaks volumes about your sister for making you feel that way and nothing about you other than how big of a person you are to swallow your pride and ask for her help for your son. As for the sword of a tong when mad, I hear you on that! I have got to the point I try to just not speak when I'm mad because I know I'll either ream them or cry in frustration. I really hope the list of drama doesn't keep growing especially since you are on the up swing with the nerve pain and arm.
Sending special hugs, tea and chocolate to Leo on her surgery day!
Also sending a shout out to Blue, Fantod, Twin, Bear and the rest of the gang.
Praying for a fast recovery too.
Miki, what a sweet picture. I so wish I was fast asleep right now. I'm glad you have been starting us off, we greatly appreciate it.
Wonder, I'm glad you were able to sleep better and that your nerve pain in your thumb is better. That's so rude that the water company won't pick up their phone. I hope it gets resolved soon, and I"m super glad your check is coming for the repairs.
I'm pretty depressed and in a lot of pain. My arm is swollen where the rash is from that shot and I'm not sure if I should be worried. I'm so sick of doctors and I just want to be left alone.
My mom talked to my Uncle Pat yesterday. I tried calling him last week to discuss my implants and autoimmune disease. He has MS but stays pretty busy being rich. No honestly he works very yard. Anyways, he told my mom he had no idea I had implants. He has known about them causing autoimmune disease for years. He said they mimic Lupus, MS, and all the other stuff I have going on. I hope he's right and I get better after the explant, I realize any improvement is worth celebrating so I'm not getting my hopes up too much, but I'm sure I'll be super depressed if nothing gets better. He said it can take years to even partially or fully recover.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Yesterday was a very blah day but first one i had in a month. Today i feel off had nightmares the hour to 2 hours i slept yup you read that right 1 to 2 hours sleep total. Made my self stay in bed till almost 5 am just so i would at least rest my body. Night terrors and pain wouldn't let me sleep. I am at my parents house since 730 am and my sponsor picks me up in 45 mins at 930 am for the AA meeting then 1145 i see the psych nurse and shrink at noon. Then i have to go to the store i get my food stamps today plus i want to do an easter basket for my parents today because mom has stomach surgery next week and for 7 weeks will be on a pureed then soft food diet. Cant afford anything expensive but going to do a semi healthy easter basket. Mom and i love the freeze dried fruit dollar tree has so going to get some packs of that for one and not sure what else, got to have SOME chocolate! Working on the hardest part of my trauma therapy now, the sexual abuse from my late husband. We hadent touched on that yet. My therapist ordered a book on amazon for me on ADHD in adults she said it was in her cart for months on there and ordered it the day i was diagnosed officially.
Miki - Thanks so much for starting us off. Usually the first one on the board starts us off when our resident spokesmodel and braniac, Leo, is down for the count. If it is too much for you, please say so, otherwise carry on. We appreciate it. I was thinking about your issue with your Dad yesterday a bit. I'm wondering if he just needs to use the loo which is why he is in your house. Nevertheless, if it bothers you, get a camera or do something else that makes you more comfortable since your parents seem to have boundry issues. I hope that Miki is OK at their house today.
Wonder - That water company sounds like a real winner. I'd be calling the corporate office to complain and have their stuff out at the curb for pick up by them or anyone else who happens to wander by. Yup, you don't want to make me angry. I will eviscerate you before you know that your guts are spread to the four corners of the earth. I have a terrible temper but I can be very strategic in the midst of my madness (insert evil grin here). Maybe there is a YouTube tutorial on your math conumdrum. I was hopeless at math even though I tested at a college level for everything else at age 10. I had tutors that would bang their heads on the desk trying to teach me math. I'm a very logical person, math is based on logic and I just *don't* get it. I hope that you get it figured out and your day turns out to be a real good one.
Maynard - I'm really glad that you finally talked to your boss about your health issues. That was brave and I'm glad that they were receptive and supportive. It sounds like you have a flare going on. Fingers crossed that you can get into pain management sooner than later. Sending lots of support, hugs and if chocolate floats your boat - have at it. Thanks for the shout out!
Twin - Having a swollen arm from that shot does not sound good. I understand not wanting to be bothered by doctors. I need to see my Internist because I need script refills soon. I don't want to go even though she is a lovely person and we get along well. The prospect of being poked and prodded makes me crazy right now. Like you , I'm done with being sick all of the time and I don't want to hear anything else bad. I have hope that your explant is going to help. Even small changes initially should be a big improvement for you. I'm glad that you spoke to your uncle. There is no point in fussing over the what ifs at this point. Just do it because it makes very good sense and let the chips fall where they may. Hugs and death by chocolate cupcakes!
AngelaJo - Having two hours of sleep would make anyone feel lousy. At least you had enough sense to stay in bed to let your body rest. That was really smart. I'm sure that the trauma therapy that you are working on right now is contributing to your current anxiety levels. Getting that out into the ugly light of day has to be so difficult. But, it you can stay strong and work through it not carrying that burden will be a huge relief. You've made such great progress on these things and weight loss since you joined us. I couldn't be more proud of you. BTW - the Easter basket idea sounds perfect for your Mom. I sent mine wicked good cupcakes in jar for Easter which I thought sounded pretty yummy. Rest up after you get home today.
I have the usual assort of chores around here today. I woke up with a sinus headache which is just delightful - not. If I can pry myself away from the computer/genealogy stuff, I might get out of here for a few minutes. I'll either pick up sticks in the back yard or maybe go out for a quick/cheap lunch. Shout out to Bear, Ida, Blue, Milily and Autumn. I will check back later.
Leo, I hope the surgery is going well and you recover shortly. healing hugs and prayers.
Miki, thanks for doing check-in. I'm one of the farthest ones behind because we're 6 hrs behind you, so whoever gets to do it does it lol. I totally get it about your dad... privacy is really important to me which is why I hate living here. The landlord always shows up unannounced like every other day and you can see in our bathroom. I don't understand why people can't text before they show up. At least then you'll have a warning. My landlord won't adhere to the request either. I think a camera for your door is a good idea.
One of the lumber companies was able to print floor plans for us... but for a hefty deposit, which means we've also agreed to use their lumber. We emailed the floor plans to 3 different contractors and are waiting for the bids to come in today through tomorrow. We'll submit the floor plans + the best bid to the loan officer hopefully by tomorrow, no later.
I'm up too late and then up too early every day... and I can't catch up on sleep. I have PTSD therapy and acupuncture today. I think the neurologist I saw last week gave me too high a dosage on the botox.... my eyes and mouth are too dry, plus my neck and head pulsate (are of the shots) and my heart will pound sometimes. I'm positive this is a side effect of the botox. I will email him about it.
Wonder, I think it's funny that the water company is scared of you now. It may not be your anger that struck fear in them but your unwillingness to back down. That can be intimidating if you ask me. Do you know where their shop is? You may have to drop it off yourself. Sigh. Don't listen to your sister... I think people are just jealous of the super moms out there who homeschool their kids, and *they* only wish they had it in them do it.
Maynard, that's good that you have an understanding rheumy. Last semester one of my professor's wife has it so he was understanding about me turning late assignments in. I hope you get to take it easy for a while and the pain comes down. Thanks for the hug! One back your way!
Twins, I never knew implants could do that... but I'm not surprised. I look forward to your explant surgery and you feeling better. Any little bit of "better" is better than where you are right now. My GI doctor on Oahu said it could take years for my gut to get better, but that fact that there's even hope for a better made me feel better.
Angela, I hope you can get a nap in or something, 2 hours of sleep is pretty bad. enjoy making the easter basket for your mom. I hope her surgery goes well.
Miki you are doing a great job getting us started in the morning. My only concern is that you have been so overwhelmed and I don't want to put more on you. Your dog looks so comfy. I hope your dad will at least let you know if he goes to your place today.
Wonder I am glad that you are slowly getting better with the nerve pinch. Knowing how disrupting they can be I hope for a quick and full healing.
Maynard I am glad that you are able to work from home the rest of the week, It sounds like the people you work with care.
Twins I hope the help your Uncle gave helps you have some hope. It will all work out. God has this one.
Angela I hate night terrors and hope that they will leave you alone. You are so strong to go to the meetings in spite of so little sleep. I hope when you get done you can take a nap.
Fantod I hope you find time to do something nice for yourself today. The lunch out sounds good. I hate sinuses and dealing with the pain and pressure. I hope yours lets up soon
Blue I am glad that the lumber company helped you out. I hope things go quickly now and you are able to start soon. The botox side effects should be checked out. I don't trust that stuff.
I need to run to the grocery store today. I will try to time it between rain showers. My sinus infection seems to be letting up finally. I am on my second round of antibiotics. My IBSD has been more severe with the antibiotic use. I want to work on some drawing today.
HI Ida and all who follow.
Twins, is it possible that you could maybe take a benadryl before the shot? I know my mom had some temp reaction to some meds she needed for her chemo stuff. Stuff they knew would cause some allergic like reactions. So they would give her benadryl first and then her injections.
And I too hope that maybe, your fibro is caused by your implants. How wonderful it would be to wake up feeling better and better each day.
Blue, that reaction to the botox sounds unnerving. But hopefully it is just a side effect. And I hope there is something you can do to alleviate it a bit.
I know that feeling about trying to solve a problem and before you know it, you're roped into their services. Just yesterday I was calling about training for Sarge. He's a tough one to train. My extent of training is with praise or food. Well this little knucklehead likes praise for about 3 seconds flat. His attention span is litteraly that of a flea! Anyway, that brings me to the training company I called....I wanted to work with them as other places use treats and he can't have them (or not a lot of them). $1500 later....I feel like a chump!
As for my Sis, she's the typical older sister. She thinks I sit back and eat bon bons all day, living the glory life not having to work and all. She also thinks firbo is a crackpot dx, and that its only there because doctors don't know what else to call it. Some days my eyes roll so far back in my head I can see what I ate for lunch yesterday.
Fantod, yah, I kinda was that hard on the company. Direct, firm and relentless. I was really upset though.
I'm sorry you woke up with the sinus headache today. That is just not a good way to start the day. But I do hope the day is good to you. I thought about you the other day when I was watching a video on people who are turning to DNA for their ancestor stuff. And the story was on how some are figuring out that they are not who they thought they were. Meaning, their fathers were someone else and they are being connected with new family members. I know this happened back then. I know that it was a hush hush topic too. Plus you have baby boomers left as widows and with child, Heck, isn't that the basis of the movie Pearl Harbor?
But I thought of you, with your genealogy searches. Hope you find some good finds today.
Maynard, wow, what a wonderful boss you have. Not only understanding but accepting of it too. I'm glad you had that talk. I'm sure it was hard to confess it all.
May your wfh days be good to you. Pjs/comfy clothes, and all of the other comforts of home too.
Angela, wow, another busy day for you. I hope it goes well for you. And tonight you can get some good rest too.
I'll circle back around again in a bit. Hoping for a successful surgery for Leo.
Praying the best for Leo.
I have the barfing flu. I got stomach cramps during bible study and had to leave early. I came home and threw up. No church for me tonight.
Sorry not to respond to everyone, but DS eats my posts. Love to all.
Twin I really hope the explant helps you! It does sound hopeful that maybe it will at least relieve some of your symptoms. I will keep my fingers crossed for you and send a little extra chocolate your way meanwhile.
Angela I know PTSD therapy is hard, been there and doing that but don't forget to give yourself credit for the fact that you are doing it. Just remember one session at a time and how good it will feel when you are done to not be weighed down by all of that trauma.
Bear it is good to see you! Hope you are still improving.
Fantod I hope you were able to get out for some lunch or something nice in the good weather. Waking up with a sinus headache is no fun at all, I hope it has dissipated by now.
Blue it sounds like you are burning the candle at both ends between the house and school. I really hope you are able to find some time for yourself to rest before your body starts to act up.
Autmn I hope this is the last round of antibiotics so the IBS will calm down. I also hope you get enough of a break in the rain to go to the store without getting soaked!
Hey, Bear! Sorry DS ate your post :(
Fantod, good job on the genealogy work. Thanks for the shoutout! Back at yah!
Autumn.... oooooh, antibiotics and IBS is like a bad chemical reaction at a nuclear plant. That'll put you through Hades for sure. Have you tried taking an herbal remedy? My mom has to take turmeric supplements because she's allergic to just about all antibiotics. I got this one for my mom once (Amazon) she said it did well: https://www.iherb.com/pr/Christopher-s-Original-Formulas-Infection-Formula-425-mg-100-Veggie-Caps/13417?gclid=Cj0KCQjws5HlBRDIARIsAOomqA1ujpisYa5r21mVT4CvijGIeytkJHZjmRvKChnkeC0QNCPMazNSRQ4aAhEEEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
Oh no, Ida.... I hope it's a quick bug and you're back to feeling better soon.
I hope I got everyone.... I need to get back to my homework. It feels like this semester each week assigns more home work than the previous week. But maybe it's just life getting really busy.
I am having a rare cup of coffee. Michigan Cherry coffee - so yummy. Need the fake energy to get out and work on picking up sticks and raking leaves. Yesterday was too windy. It is sunny with blue skies today , so it will be nice to get outside for a while, although I wish it was warmer out.
For some reason I was thinking Leos surgery was tomorrow. Leo, I hope your surgery went well today and they are treating your pain appropriately.
I read everyones posts as I do each day. Hugs to all. Miki thanks for doing the check in. Like others said , if it gets to be too much please speak up. I like the picture of your dog, although it looks like she could easily fall off the couch laying on it backwards. I like big dogs.
Praying for everyone and thinking of you all.
