Leo is taking a well deserved break from stuff at home this weekend, so I figured I'd get us started
The NOAA has released their predictions for weather this winter..there's a number of things that could affect this, which can't be anticipated this far in advance (polar vortex, arctic oscillation etc), so it's not set in stone by any means. Right now, it's looking like the pacific northwest is going to see colder than normal temperatures-Washington state through most of Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan, and even northern Iowa and Nebraska. The south and mid Atlantic are likely to see warmer than normal temperatures-from northern California and Nevada, through northern Texas, eastern Kentucky and Tennessee, eastern Pennsylvania, all the way to northern Massachusetts and maybe southeast NH and everything south and east of there. Florida, Arizona and New Mexico are looking especially warm. Everywhere else is looking fairly average. Precipitation is harder to predict in advance but they do expect drought conditions in the south, especially around the Florida panhandle and Georgia. The pacific northwest and Midwest may see more precipitation than normal. Ad I write this, I'm wondering how they even define "normal" anymore since it seems like the weather has been all over the freaking place in the past 5+ years, but maybe that's just me.
I went for a run this morning and walked Miki, and now I'm baking potatoes to make potato skins. I'm craving potatoes for some reason...usually I just roast them but since I have an extra day this weekend, I decided to do this. I have a few left that I can roast tomorrow if I'm motivated. Meanwhile Haco is pawing the top of the dryer...don't ask me why. Anything with a remotely shiny surface is fair game. Once the potatoes are done, I'll probably lie down for a while, then maybe meet bf at the brewery later.
This handsome boi is probably very happy he's spending the winter inside this year, even if it's gonna be warmer than last year. He fell asleep almost on top of my face last night. And he only looks like this because I moved to get my phone, and disturbed his sleep to take this photo:

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...

Today (August 8) is INternational Cat Day. Don't click away! International DOG day is August 26! Both were created to raise aweareness and funds for the well-being of critters. We have many such dayts, to the pint that every day is like an old Catholic saints' day calendar: Take your pick!I'm home, obvs, and still ill. Left calf and foot not great after a tangle-fall, but i'll live. Just can't...

I did not do a lot yesterday. Basically just the normal clean up around the house and a load of extra laundry. Watched a new series on Netflix called "House of Guinness." I enjoyed it but the volume on it was either too low or too loud the entire time. I hate that. I was pushing the remote volume button continuously. Kind of defeats the point of relaxing lol.
Miki - I've come to the conclusion that winter here could go either way. We'll find out when it actually happens. I hope that you enjoyed your potato skins!
Not much on the agenda today. I have a document to type for my partner. Laundry. Clean the loos and general tidy up. Back to work tomorrow.
AngelaJo - I am very sorry about Emmie. She had a wonderful life with you and Matt. Sending a hug and support.
That's about it for me. Waves!
Its been a rainy chilly Sunday. I think fall weather has actually finally arrived for good. I have heard rumors that this winter is suppose to be worse in SW Michigan this year , I hope not. The gray days and cold is bad enough and my son drives a lot for the job he started in July ( mostly West half of lower Michigan and Northern Indiana )
I am feeling lousy in the GI department and I hope it doesn't lead to a Gastroparesis flare. I was suppose to finish up PT finally after the next few weeks and just have PT only on my own at home . I need to have that happen. I have been going to PT for 5 freaking months. I won't graduate but I am so over going to PT. Not feeling well is making the PT stuff I do at home every day difficult and that makes my Vestibular stuff worse and my neck and upper back stuff worse , it is a vicious cycle. Yesterday I had to go back to bed 3 hours after getting up to sleep and rest. Today I made it 6 hours but I had to mostly sit around in the recliner. UGH.
Leo - I hope you got your much needed R&R and it was enjoyable.
Angela - I am sorry about your Emmie. !!!!!
Miki - Tumble has come a long way . cute pic
Fantod - I hope you get work for November. Your partner needs to stop bothering you when you are resting or napping . Throw soft stuff and progress to harder stuff if needed. Doesn't he understand that people with chronic illness and pain need their rest and sleep and some days extra of it.
