Anyone here from Seattle area? If I can get away as orderred by the therapist,t hat's one destination I have in mind. I've been before and Pike Place Market was memorable.
Still struggling with the PTSD stuff, and ... well, still struggling.

The cats are STILL staring at the stove. the bird, FYI, flew off fine yesterday afternoon. We got a heart attack at 1 AM or so when Dixie jumped onto the stove, missed, and we heard CLONG! ONG---ongnggggg and the scatter of eight paws in a hurry. *sigh*

So, did you know you can be born without fingernails? Weird but true. You still get finger*prints*, however.
And you know we've nerded intno a new world when we change the name from "Di George Syndrome" on a wholly different disorder, to the oh-so-trips-off-the-tongue-said-no-one-ever "22q11 . 2 deletion syndrome". Yeah.... no.
We also have the weirdly named Dandy Walker syndrome, which is in fact Dandy-hyphen!- Walker. It has nothing to do with you being spiffy as you stroll. Hyphenate, people, hyphenate!
And we also changed from Duncan disease (unrelated to coffee or donuts for us Americans, joke joke, har har)... to "X-linked lyphoproliferative disease". Yeah, I'll stick to Duncan, thanks.
BTW, you can lose fingernails and toenails for reasons other than congenital issue, mainly frostbite, burns, and/or Raynaud's. Which so far is still Raynaud's. *checks* Yep, still kept the name. Whew.
Look , I get enough saying "Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia" at least once a day. Peter can pack his pickled peppers fine, but that one? Yeesh.

And that's the random stroll through the weirdness that makes us think,' Huh, maybe today is a better day for me than I thought'.
If not, there's centipede-like critters in Japan that eat spiders. DO NOT look up a picture. That was what someone sent me in my e-mail, all, "Oh wow!" and I was thinking, "Oh heaven help me I will never sleep again!"
May your day be easy, and your pain be less, and a sunbeam warm your hearts.

88FIn 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

I’ve never been to Seattle, but would go in a minute if the Packers were playing in the Super Bowl there or something. I hope you get out there. I’ve heard it’s wonderful. Sorry about the PTSD. So hard on those of us who suffer with it. Doctors were triggering me in the fall. Anyway, praying for you to feel much better.
I have to look up those diseases. I don’t know what any of them are with either name. I just remember Lou Gehrig’s disease now ALS, which I know are way long words. Lou Gehrig’s speech on the baseball field still makes me cry.
Not looking at spiders being eaten this morning.
I am doing very well this morning. Did I actually say that? My hip injection was a pure miracle. I barely have any pain this morning at all. We are going to try church with the wheelchair tomorrow. No hip pain will help that immensely.
I started my injections for weight loss last night. Once a week to way lower my appetite. They said they could do the shots at the doctor or I could do them. Heck, I can handle that. They said just to find a fatty area. Are you kidding? That won’t be a problem. Lol
See you all later
I slept for 11 hours last night which I desperately needed, but I don’t feel much better. My back is killing me and I’m flaring from these weather swings. In the past week, we’ve had bitter cold, 62 degrees, high winds, rain and a little snow. Today we have cold, and tomorrow we have colder. I feel overwhelmed with stuff I need to get done…cooking, cleaning, laundry, meal prep, grocery shopping, burning…all I want to do is sleep. And all my lab work done Thursday is normal except for the celiac test, the one I’m actually worried about, which isn’t back yet. So annoying. Anyway.. I need to get Miki out for a walk and actually do something productive. Hugs to all
It is freaking cold here today. The sun is out but we are still experiencing some wind from a storm last night. A bit more snow too. The driveway is still passable so I am going to insist that my partner does nothing out there. He was extremely tired yesterday when he got home. And, with his foot problem even with warmers, he doesn't need to be out in that cold
Wow Ida - that is such great news! Isn't it amazing to finally get some help and it actually worked! I hope that the weight loss stuff helps too. Today is a brand new day for you after so many stuggles.
No particular plans today. I ended up going out briefly yesterday. Cat food is hard to get again. I ordered some dry food about two weeks ago and it finally came in at the store. I decided to go and get it. Even though it was being held for me I didn't want to take the chance that it might "disappear." I have a bit of laundry working and I have to prep for our usual Saturday night dinner of pizza and salad.
Shout out to Miki, PuppyMom, AngelaJo, Zombie, Penni, PainedOne, Milily, Twin and Autumn.
Miki, fingers crossed ---- and yeah, sleep.
I've been to Seattle a few times, so it's quasi-familiar, and yet far from *stuff*. barring major disaster, a mellow time, y'know? And maybe take the ferry out, that sort of thing. ....
Leo-- yes take that trip!
Ida-- woohoo! Happy dance for you. So glad you finally have some relief.
Miki -- Eh, laundry is overrated. Sleep if you need to.
Fan -- Stay warm. Thanks for reminding me I need to order dog food.
Ok, back at it. Check back in after work!
Just coming in to say hi,
I just got my period 5 days early for some reason & I get them bad so I just gotta get through these first couple days.
I’ll try to come back later & say hi if I can get my head together better
Big hugsto everyone <3
Ida, I'm so happy the injection has helped!
Had a busy day yesterday. I spent the week making desserts for an event at the VFW today. Yesterday I finished it off with a chocolate chip cake and a pan of brownies. It wore me out. I'm tired today. Got up at 4 am, went back to bed at 7:30 and just got up again at 9:30. I may also need a nap today.
I'm looking forward to virtual physical therapy tomorrow. I'm really aching this past week and hope I'll start to get some relief. I've actually been taking the pain pills all week. They're not helping.
Hope you all are having a great weekend.

Today's agenda is cleaning and grocery shopping. Thanks for the detergent tip AJ. I can only use certain kinds because I'm a sensitive skinned redhead. But I think OD could wash his in acid and be OK PD is on a 4 day weekend and is fixing his car. We also are going to change the battery in my truck. It's getting hard to start on cold days.
Ok breakfast is burning check back in later.
HUGS :-)
more cold. But, spring is inching closer. Waves at everyone!
