Hey, all, I gotta keep this one quite brief. I had a great one planned, but I was catted. Raccoon and LilMiss tangled at about 530 AM, she's more or less okay but it's less. (She has her shots and stuff, I do know that.) She was out all night, apparnetly, and a racoon came waddling by. I know what they sound like when they're startled and angry, woke up and shot down the stairs (half-fell) and got the cat before she lost more than composure and fur and dignity and pooped her own fur and peed her fur and me.
And good morning to my weekend.
BLessings on everyone for everyone et cetera and all that, gotta re-check LilMiss's limp see if it's strain or worse.

Lately I've been feeling scared and full of anxiety. I recently found a lump under my nipple. I hurt my back too. I'm in the process of moving. I'm run down. Everything is hard

Well, our drought isn't broken but our gutter is. Got two big storms rigth after each other and, wait for it, a tornado warning. Now, I was already running for my go-bag when I heard thunder. The air felt wrong. The sky was getting a color to the west. Been there, lived that, time to hide.No funnel touched down but the radar indicated rotation, and boy was it visible from the ground. Different...

and continue with everything in your life even though you are suffering from pain
and other illnesses. It's not easy to keep going and I definitely have a hard time
with doing that.
BlueSky I just can't seem to keep going when I don't feel up to doing anything and
all of you seem to be able to do that even when you are in pain. I guess sometimes
I do keep going with the pain but when it gets bad I have to get off my feet. It's
too hard to keep walking and the pain is too much.
Leo, I how Li'Miss will be okay. I brought in some plants from the impending weather and one of our cats found a little toad. All of a sudden she was spatting out and foaming at the mouth. Her humans caught the offending 3 inch toad which looked harmless (but some have a toxin in their backs) relocated to the back yard, Whooo. And yea, we found some little mounds here and there as she was yacking up and sliming things as she danced around. Lucky she recovered about an hour later, eating and drinking and following her human pop-man around like a puppy. I've seen a gecko, a couple of lizards running around so the games will begin as things fly when those lovely kitty kats are in hot pursuit. They make such a bellow when they catch something and their humans step in to rescue their prisoners. Never a dull moment. A cat I had years ago got between me and a raccoon when I went onto our porch....he was my kitty hero...I miss him. I have a pic of that somewhere, gotta find it.
I gotta check the news again, have a safe night everyone. It's no telling where the effects of this storm will go.
3LittleBears, thanks for letting us know you're okay (for now). LOL, yeah, I have turtles show up b/c I made a little pond in my yard for them after someone killed our local creek and they needed a place. Got two turtles and a tortoise, blah blah, but no toads here. So cute your cat stood between you and a raccoon. My cat once got between me and a 200-pound-man just b/c he didn't like the guy, LOL.
stay safe!
The vet clinic opening was ok, it is the same vets we went to 2 towns over but they switch off coming to our town now, i set up to get abby her shots which my mom usually gives her but being in an apt i want paper records, and to get her mirco chipped next month. For making an appointment i got a ticket into the raffle for either a dyson vacumn or 50 dollar gift card. Either would be nice! Then we went to my parnets house and i started laundry and then mom and i left for the movie, right as we got in the car a migraine hit, took some excedrin hoping it would ease up and mom said maybe diet pepsi at the movie and some popcorn will help, nope half way thru went in the bathroom to take an imitrex shot which is not easy in a stall! I used the handicapped one so i would at least have room to do it. I dont have the instant shots mine are a vial and syringe. The shot makes me sick for half an hour after so was not the best time to be at a movie but i made it, the move home again was good but no real ending. Was a bit disappointed with the ending. Then we had to go to walmart i was on my last roll of toilet paper and needed sponges and a few grocerys. Well mom wanted to look thru clothes and other stuff ended up not buying one thing i did the only shopping. Mom said since i was gettign worse plus my pain was up shed finish my laundry and theyll bring it by tomorrow when they pick up her lemon meringue pie for her bday i didnt get made yet i didnt feel like making homemade crust so picked up the pillsbury crust. My blood sugar is 104 which is perfect but for me is getting on the low side i stay around 120 so time to eat something.
3LB, thanks for the update on your situation. Poor kitty... glad she's ok now.
Leo, how cute of your kitty to stick up for you lol. Have you ever read the book Homer's Odyssey? Her blind cat (no eyes) chased off a burglar! Cats can be so amazing... cat haters have no idea.
Angela, sounds like a long day. I have no idea how you made it through the movie theater with a migraine. I would have died... or at least gone home. Poor thing. You are one of the toughest people I know. You hit a pain of 10, take some meds, keep going, take another shot, keep going some more.... my gosh. I would have never left my bed! I'd be like, "Sun... I know you're up, but I'm not. Please go away and come again another day."
Welp.... we messed around in the yard this Am. Planted 2 sugarcanes: one was a transplant of a stunted sugarcane, the other was a sprouting stalk that went into the ground. Also planted 2 basils: red basil and thai basil. After that, I could hardly move. Hurt too much. Showered off and had to lay down. No fruit picking occurred :(. A few hours later I asked my husband what he had planned for our date night (since he promised Friday night but didn't come home till after dinner). He then took me to a deli mart thingy and told me to pick something because he wasn't going to cook (as if he ever does) and didn't feel like doing anything else. I told him I'm not grabbing food from a mini deli mart that looks like a gas station. No thanks, that's not a date. We went home. An hour later he finally decided to take me to a restaurant. But just the way he dragged his feet made me feel like taking me out was a burden.
I hope church goes well tomorrow. A couple of times I ran into that friend of mine who took me to her house and scolded me into the following day, and my anxiety ran high. I think our friendship is done. PLus her last text may have been her way of saying so. She goes to the church every now and then... last Sunday was really awkward. I take it she didn't like the way I told her off in that letter I gave her.
Sorry if I'm a downer. Guess I'm feeling some depression tonight. Looking forward to reading all your posts tomorrow. HUGS
Today is Worldwide Suicide Prevention Day and I want to get through today and go Home. Yeah I know it's a chicken shit way out but I can't keep living like this. They can't cure it, they can only treat it and I am so tired of fighting a losing battle.
We are leaving today for our (very delayed!) honeymoon!! Twenty five years later! Herkimer diamonds in New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire. I'm looking forward to relaxing. Everyone thinks we should go to the coast but we have no intention of going there. We are staying in the mountains.
My daughter did get out of town safely. She's north with my dad. They sweet talked their way into a rental car. Lots of delays and traffic. This kid has God's blessings all over her life.
I've read everyone's posts. But I'm not responding individually because I'm leaving soon. I'll check in when I can.
Don't give up. You are a strong person and you can make it even though you feel
right now that you can't. Do you have bad days and not so bad days? Depression is
a bad thing to deal with I know from personal experience. Depression is an ugly thing to
go through. I know about that. If you could find something to take your mind
off of things that might give some relief. I like to read, do puzzles, and
this may sound silly but I like to color using colored pencils. Getting a deceit
fiction book and losing myself in a good story helps keep my mind occupied.
Take care of yourself and don't give up.
