Good morning!
I dedicate today to Warm Fuzzies.
What gives you a warm fuzzy feeling? (Besides animals, LOL, which are already warm and fuzzy!) Sun-heated peaches can apply to "warm fuzzy", even.
No, I didn't sleep enough. Whee! Let the weirdness begin!
Warm fuzzies... I get 'em when someone hugs me.
So sharing a group hug with all to start the Warm Fuzzies!

88FIn 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

Can't use Spartacus for warm fuzzies? That makes it tough. :-) Let's say when everyone feels at least half way decent in the house.
Well...I saw the new rheumy yesterday. He leaned towards shooting down the fibro idea (surprise!) and is once again pursuing some kind of rheumatoid arthritis. I've taken those tests many times in the past and they've come out negative. The symptoms seem to match and I guess it's best to be sure....again....but it's tough starting over. Other than that, he seemed like a nice guy, if that counts for anything? :-)
Hope you all have a fuzzy and warm Wednesday!
Kel
BBop, oooh, good one. Soft blanket, good book!
Leo, warm fuzzies. I use that term to describe that 'uneasy feeling' you get like when the garbage man leaves you a love note on the bin sharing how you're not supposed to put something out...or it will cost $$$ more. That kind of warm and fuzzy feeling, LOL.
But my happy happy joy joy feelings right now are watching the momma and pappa goose out back with their three littles. Right now they are all yellow and fuzzy, and exploring the world (aka pond). The parents are diligent and on guard always. I see so much of myself in them.
I hope somewhere today a nap comes and kidnaps you and lets you wake up refreshed and ready to conquer the world.
bbopsmom, I too love curling up and reading. I just ordered a new book yesterday that I'm looking forward to. Hope you have a good day today too.
Kel, ah yes, the "I want to make sure also" doc theory. I had a rheumy ask me what my "ONE" primary complaint was, and I shared my back hurts. So when he was done he said that because my only complaint was back pain, he didn't think I had fibro. LOL, he was a turd. I never went back to him. If that is what following his orders is gonna be like, then I just don't have it in me to keep paying him.
But, I also agree, doing another once over sometimes isn't so bad. And I bet Sparty is a good warm and fuzzy provider. He just seems too cute not to be. Tank on the other hand, tipped the scales last week at 150. His warm and fuzzies squish you now that he's taken on the life of a pork chop. LOL.
Well, the driveway didn't happen. Neither did the electrical stuff. So today is a do over. And the possibility of T-storms. The first "potentially biggies" here. So I need to help reel in my hubster later when he's all excited about them. It's so funny. Growing up I used to be scared of them. (severe ones that is) I would take on my mom's reactions. Now I choose to be calm. It helps to keep the kids calm, but my hubster, he's so funny. He's all excited to report something or spot something so I'm often reminding to calm down. Whispering it often has the greater impact, LOL.
So it should be a fun day. I hope.
And I'm wishing all of you have some fun today also. Or something to bring you the "good" kind of warm and fuzzies that Leo suggested. Man, I'd love to hug a koala bear. I need to find a zoo to volunteer at.
May you hve some fun, and a lot of calm!
My warm fuzzy is sticking my nose in a freshly opened bag of coffee. Ahhhh.
I’ll chat with you guys later.
Kel-sorry you're going through more testing. Maybe it'll show something this time? My lab work for autoimmune disease has been negative so far despite having symptoms that are incredibly likely to be autoimmune (I'm going to push for an X-ray when I go next month). I hope you get some help either way.
Wonder-I hope your driveway and electrical stuff get done today. Can they pave if there's going to be thunderstorms? Or rain in general? Those geese sound adorable. Hugs
I didn't sleep enough, my back is still killing me, I have pain shooting across my ribs and back if I bend over, twist, or generally move wrong. I also have cramps that are bad enough to make me nauseous. I need to try to figure out how I can spread my finances out because I potentially have some bigger expenses coming up. Not like the work I've done on the house, but $100-200 stuff that I need to not spend all at once. I know I can catch up by the end of the year even if I do all this stuff so long as I plan it well. Hopefully the phone will stay slow today because I just don't feel like dealing with people.
Warm and fuzzy for me is curling up on the couch with a soft blanket and the kitties and a hot cup of tea or cocoa.
I wish my mom would join some kind of diet program. Taking her to her appointment yesterday, I had to park 3 times before she was able to open the door wide enough so she could get out of the truck. I had to park in a stall where there was no car parked on her side (facepalm). She's done nothing but binge eat since being back.... and all the frying my husband did for his birthday yesterday surely didn't help. Mom swooped in on every new batch he dumped out of the fryer grabbing almost all, leaving only one piece each time. She needs to join Overeaters Anonymous.
Sorry if this offends anyone, I'm just sick of it. My husband is addicted to alcohol and water sports.... and my Mom is addicted to food. They both need help but would rather live in denial.
I have PTSD therapy late this afternoon. I hope I'm not too tired by then. It was the only slot they had available when I booked it a couple months ago. I have muscle cramps today and I hope my stomach cooperates.
Thinking of Twins today. Hope the appointment is going well and you get some rest to make up for being up so early.
Kel, your situation is irritating but also funny because we've been there w/ new docs not believing us. Can't they read our medical records and see what kind of testing we've been through (labs, radiology, etc)? I really wish there was a fibro test (eg: MRI or blood test) to confirm an absolute positive so they would stop playing these games with us. I don't doubt fibro is a real disease... they just haven't figured out yet what it is we need to test for yet. But I get the feeling that we're close.
Wonder, I envy all the wild animals you get to see. Here? Most of the endangered species are birds and creatures of the ocean kind, so you mostly get to see them when you're out in the water. I hope the kids stay calm through the T-storms.
Good to see you, Ida. I hope PT went well and your arms are feeling better? If not, maybe they need to try something else? I hope you can some rest after not sleeping?
Miki, ugh... sorry about all that pain. I wish I had a magic wand that could make it go away! When I need to budget carefully like that, I look at monthly reoccurring expenses, eg. cable bill, and see if I can drop or cut any of them out. We cancelled cable. We also recently changed our phone plan (carrier) to a cheaper one and saved another $20/ month. And then changed auto insurance company, too, and saved $30/ month. These savings go along way. I hope this helps.
Angela, I hope you can get a day off this week / weekend so you can stay home and relax for once. That's a lot of stuff going on.... and stretching your self thin isn't good if you're flaring.
Not feeling well. There is a virus that has been going around , not sure if I am in the beginning stages of that or what . I feel like I could sleep 12 hours easily, which I rarely do. More overall achy and feel kinda like I smoked a joint , but I didnt - hard to describe I guess.
Kel, there are autoimmune diseases that dont always test blood positive. If this Dr appears to be a good diagnostic Dr , maybe it is not a bad idea. Although, I would be hesitate to have tests repeated that have been done very recently. Sometimes folks are diagnosed with autoimmune diseases based and symptoms and ruling other things out, like the fibro diagnosis. Also, you can have fibro and an autoimmune disease and vice versa, one comes later than the other. Best wishes to you with this.
I did speak with a nutritionist today. I’m starting a new, healthier way of eating. I lost 100lbs, 4 years ago with bariatric surgery, but have since gained half of it back. I think it’s all the stress I’ve been under for the past year. Anyway, tomorrow is my new life, and I’m very excited.
Thinking of Twin today and pray all is well with her.
Good evening to everyone.
