Well, Hurricane Florence took a left turn, apparently. Actually, she slowed, hwich changed what weather patterns on th econtinent would affect her path, and now... Look out Carolinas and Georgia, but Virginia will only catch a *little* rain. Like, a little little. Like pfft. Like whatever. Like *yawn*.
Here's the NOAA maps as of this morning. Veryd iff from 12 hours ago even. https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_at1+shtml/085212.shtml?key_messages#contents
That said, of course, 1. stay prepared and 2. things change. If you're anywhere near North Carolina, eyes on the weather, and if you're anywhere from the Adirondacks to Atlanta, Georgia (as I said before), watch the rainfall and wind forecasts. Looks now like Flo will fizzle out right around northern Georgia-ish. Glad this time of year is when people aren't on the Appalachian Trail, but damn. Gonna be a bad time to vacay in teh Great Smokies.
Now, that said, I could still "vanish" b/c the rain around here is just ridiculous. Every day. So we're one gusty storm from having trees fall over b/c the ground's so wet. Oh yay.
And because I was supervised by critters yesterday... Heroic pet animals! Cheers, all
