...is being an a**hat. I'm sorry, but that's the most polite term I could think of. I'm coming off of a bad 3 week flare up, and half way through a baaaad period. Clearly, not the time to be confrontational with me. Yes. It sucks that I haven't been able to help out as much. Yes. It sucks that we haven't been able to spend quality time with each other because I feel like garbage. How is being a douche bag going to help any of this?? Yes. I would love to get out of the house and do something fun (or put on grown-up clothing for the first time in 2 weeks). Does that mean I actually feel up to it? NO. And how is stating a fact, a legitimate reason, for not wanting to do something an excuse? The truth is not an excuse! Getting all butt hurt because you don't get to do what you want is not MY fault. I didn't wake up today and think "I wonder how I could ruin your day". And when a person tries to remove themselves from the confrontation, do not follow them to keep it going because YOU feel like being a petty baby. My fibro sucks and is frustrating for everyone who has to deal with it, so let's maybe not fight over something we can't change. Waste of time and the stress makes me feel even worse. AAAAAAARRRRGGGGHHH!
Ok. I'm done.

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

Your loved one seems to struggle to understand/accept as fact your symptoms. I've seen people mention in the past that they demanded their SO (significant other) join them on doctor's appointments. This way they hear about the symptoms and how it affects daily life, and see that medical professionals damn sure aren't saying it's lying or whining when the doc is told of the same symptoms that the SO disregards/disbelieves.
I hope you'll be able to find some more understanding and support. Venting here is perfectly fine and allowed. Keep it coming on those bad days, or we sometimes explode to our loved ones in a manner we didn't want it to happen.
Take care!
Venta way! Boom boom here equals balm in the real world:-) As for asshats? Oh, yeah. Even the best of spouses goes into asshat mode. I have ag ood day and then Hubby wonders why my evening sucks. Well, I had a godo day and overdid, and now I'm paying. Geez. *headdesk*
Blue -- My Husband also has the habit of "my stuff" vs "your stuff". It is as annoying as hell! He will even tell you "his" weekend plans, which usually do not take me into account at all. That being said, they usually revolve around working on the house or our cars, so it's not like he's taking weekends away without me. Also, for most of our marriage I have worked every weekend, so the man is used to having to make his own plans. In my Hubby's case, this is how his parents have always lived, residing under the same roof, but keeping all things apart including their "quarters." He is getting better, after ten years of quietly reminding him to say "ours" and showing him that family means more than a phone call on your birthday and two visits a year. But we did not get married until our 30's, which I think is what you also said, and it takes for people to grow into a different way of thinking, even if they want to. (Notice I did not say "change." I don't wish to change him, simply for him to see a different side. You can watch, when he enters his parent's house, like a switch is being flipped and he reverts to certain old patterns of behavior. This has nothing to do with me or us, and more to do with survival. ) Now, as for the family coming for an extended stay . . . My backside would be a hotel so I can't blame you for being upset! !
