Update on Meds

Hey Fibro fam, so I tried the Cymbalta and my body did NOT like it at all! I was nauseous the whole time, I had difficulty sleeping, loss of appetite, and dark urine (tmi I know right gross, but just tryin to keep it real) So now my doctor want me to try Lyrica, I'm not too fond of the idea either but I guess I'll try it and see how my body reacts to the medication. 


 


I hope you guys are doing okay! And if you guys have tried Lyrica I would like you hear your experiences on the medication. Thanks for readying and responding back fam :)

I am on lyrica and its even stopped my migraines I love it!

Not a big fan of Lyrica. Never tried it and never will. In some people, it can cause rapid weight gain. Again, we all have different reactions to medication. I hope that you do find something that works. Hugs!

I am on it. Lyrica did wonders for my fibro but I gained 20lbs. in the course of 2 months and now am having issues with edema so we are weaning me off. Too dangerous since it is already in my hands and feet that it will go to my heart next. I would use it as a last resort.

Have been on both Cymbalta & Lyrica. Cymbalta was bad but Lyrica was the worst drug I have ever taken. Felt like I was being tasered the entire time.

I could not handle Cymbalta or Lyrica, but everyone is different so it's good you're trying them. I was actually on Lyrica for 2 years until I decided it was controlling my life too much with constipation, feeling drunk or high, and falling asleep everywhere. I couldn't take it anymore and I would even run into walls. It was also a scary medicine for me and gave me a great deal of pressure in my head followed by muscle weakness which I already have so not good overall. Good luck!

I am sorry to hear that you are struggling with fibromyalgia. It can really knock you down for the count. My doctor prescribed Cymbalta which not only helps with the aches and pains but with depression which was onset by hypothyroidism. Praying you will find what makes you feel better!

Lyrica helps when my feet has that burning and tingling sensation but the body no not really. I take only for that not daily who wants to stay high all day long? That is why i tried Jesus who will and can help you deal. Cymbalta makes me sick so that is out, well i pray you find what will work for you.
