I have been trying so hard to keep a positive attitude the last couple of weeks , even joined a gym and successfully got in 5 workouts. Then after not sleeping well for the last week, I crashed!! Literally crashed, I got up at 8:30 yesterday morning and was a complete zombie, I fell asleep at noon and slept until 8 this morning! I must say the worst part of fibro for me is the lack of energy! Yes, I endure a lot of pain and always have but this not having energy is awful!
I must keep up my good attitude as I don't want to fall into a deep depression like I have been in the last few years.
Does anyone have suggestions to increase energy, besides Adderall?

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Have you had the following tested recently: your thyroid, vitamin D level, magnesium level, iron level? These are all things that I think of because I was affected by each (hyper thyroid), causing quite a drain on my energy.
I too try to keep a good attitude, and I appreciate how difficult that is some days. That's great that you've joined a gym and are working out, but hopefully, you've started slowly. Better to ease your way into a workout routine and progressively add to it.
I have done this in the past but I find if that I am not up early enough, it interferes with my ability to rest/sleep when I need to. Too much energy can also be a bad thing when living with FMS.
Honestly, there are just times when you need to let your body rest. I'm in a slump right now and just letting it run its course. Beating myself up about it isn't helpful or productive. I focus on being grateful and just roll with it.
I hope that my comments are helpful to you. Take care.

You are better served to eat very small meals of high protein throughout the day to keep your blood sugar stable.
And, if you have not had a sleep study done, I recommend it. Fibromyalgia interrupts the deep sleep cycle with short bursts of high intensity brain activity. Your muscles require deep sleep in order to repair themselves from the days activities. No deep sleep means higher levels of pain. You may be sleeping a lot but not getting the restorative sleep needed. Take care.
I will try the light therapy thanks for the information and the link and I will try not to be so hard on myself. I just despise crashing, I missed my daughter's first volleyball game because I was sleeping.
