You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.

Cliches, stereotypes, etc. that we all know, or should know are jokes:
Men strong,w omen weak. (Gentlemen, ladies, we all know what crap this is.)
White good, black bad. (My black cat reallllly objects to this!)
Sharks eat people (most sharks won't notice you if you shove a hand int heir mouth. Don't surf if you're that worried.)
Swimmers can't drown. (Fun fact: roughly 70% of drowning deaths are people who know how to swim!)
Being rich equals intelligence. (Have you MET some rich people?!?!)
Only an advanced degree equals intelligence. (have you MET some PhDs?!?!)
Cat people are lonely. (Um. if I was lonely, I'd get a dog. Seriously. My cats are living with me on treaty terms, and I'm not sure who wrote the treaty.)
Men strong, women weak. (Wait...)
Fun fact: The richest people in US Congress have stock portfolios worth HUNDREDS of millions. And belong to both main parties. When a politician says "I am/was a businessperson", check what kind. (Venture capitalist is a long way from "sold cars")
And on that random underslept note, I need to be glad my shrink called in emergency meds for me, b/c my neurologist never got around to signing off on changing pharmacies so yeah, we got to drive a round trip of roughly 150 miles/240 km for a month of epilepsy meds while we try to figure out wtf is going on.
Yep, they have alllll that intelligence b/c of their advanced degrees but can't realize they need to SIGN something?!?

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...
I'm feeling weird today, my alarm didn't go off and I woke up a little bit late, which wasn't a big deal because we had no surgery this morning. I ended up not being able to run because it rained all day yesterday, and the rain froze overnight. That could happen the rest of the week too -_-. I got some woodburning in. Now I already feel like I need a nap and it's gonna be a *while* before I can pass out. Sigh. I'm sure the news and such isn't helping, it's a hard balance to be informed but not make myself even more anxious and depressed.
Honestly, I rarely the house since COVID unless I'm working, have an appointment or have errands. I'm home and rarely if ever lonely. And, I really can't afford to drive around for something to do.
It's sunny but cold here again today. I just finished brooming my email inbox. That was fun. Had to print out a couple of things that I missed along the way.
Still on a cleaning binge. I hope to finish the living room today. Now, I have to get out the small carpet cleaner because someone threw up on the carpet in there again.
I'm now off until the 8th unless a reservation comes in. I have several projects in mind around the house so that's OK. My brother is coming on Saturday to set up the new computer. I need to get outside but it's been too cold so far. I bought a mini chainsaw last year on sale. I have to set that up to charge. Lots of branches down on the North side of the house. That will save me some time.
Miki - The news is an absolute horror show. I'm trying to limit what I read. I'm sorry that you are feeling off today. I hope that work goes by quickly.
PuppyMom - I was really sorry that to read that you are still experiencing issues - especially your heart. Sounds like FIL hasn't changed one bit. Sending support and a hug!
Shoutout to Bec, AngelaJo (who is now killing it in rehab), JP, Blue and Milily! Waves!
I digress. My body feels like a truck hit it every day. Good news, my back is stabilized. Bad news, I have to go wreck it again putting heels on and lugging non wheelie laptop bag. Expect moaning and screaming come Friday.
Miki: I don't' know how you run girl. Actually I do. I remember having a personal trainer in my early 30's and being forced to run and do things I never thought my body could do. Early signs of heart probs back then but I was doing pull ups (before 3 accidents). So, you go girl!!! And soak up all that kitty love (and doggie). 5 cats, wow. Wish I could handle that many. I miss my romeo and jewel and her purring on my chest as I typed on the keyboard for work. Oh, I miss those purrs.
Fan: spring cleaning girl takes Michigan (headline). You are so funny and predictable with your clean outs, lol. I don't know where you are getting all this energy, but would you send some my way??
AJoe; KEEP IT UP GIRL!!
Hey to the rest of you!! JP trying to get a brain on with no food in the house and don't want to waste my super pills (modinifil) for fear of overdoing it.
JP out.
