Good morning!
Well, our lockdown extended until end of June.
I.
Am.
Losing.
My.
Frigging.
Mind.
Cats? Sure. Fussy chores to stay busy? OK.
Hubby underfoot 24/7?
*sob*
I love the man, I do, but can I just have one hour to bloody well clean without having to check if he's on the phone or being interrupted by his search for his reading glasses, or a snack, or that book he was reading, or his glass of water he had, or a cup of tea, or ...
I. Just. Want. To. Vacuum. The. House. In. Peace.
He's already otu of things to do that aren't fo rhis job (b/c he can't do everything over the internet), and I'm like, "Well, sort through old decorations and toss some."
Nope. We keep *everything*. It all has sentimental value.
Tried to settle outside on the lawn to do some reading.
Nope. He can't find something.
Walk a bit?
Nope. He needs company.
Gear up to vacuum b/c he swears he'll close the door and leave me be?
Nope. He's napping, msutn't wake him.
Even the *cats* are going bonkers. Dahlia looks at him like, "WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE?!" every other hour. Dixie just goes on the catio and stays there.
I can't even bake in peace. What's that, what're you doing, etc. ---- and when I turn around from the stove? He is exactly in the spot where he is most likely to become a casualty of cooking.
Frankly, y'all, my nerves are shot, and I got 3 months to go.
Oh and I heard this one last night: "Why do you do so much laundry?"
Because things get dirty...?
So...
Yeah.
This sums up me lately.

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...
The name "Acacia", which is a type of flower, has been gaining in popularity as an unusual girl baby name, which means in 10 years it will be so common that nobody will be able to stand it. (OK, that last bit was just my opinion< LOL.)
I'm now in day 3 of self isolation, and so far still doing ok. No symptoms yet and my mom says the meds for her pneumonia are helping. And I'm honestly not bored yet. I've done some cleaning, gotten a couple wood burning projects done, taken Miki for a bunch of walks while it's still nice out (it's supposed to rain later this week), etc. Bf dropped off some groceries for me yesterday, and he surprised me with a bottle of wine with the stuff I asked for. He's amazing. My sister offered to send me stuff through Amazon too if I need it, and she told me this morning that she sent me a book through Amazon because she wants to talk about it with someone. I guess it's called "I'm Thinking of Ending Things" so I'm a little concerned it could be a trigger for me, but she doesn't know about that... I figure I'll give it a shot and see if I can get through it. She's never said she needs to talk to someone about a book like that so I'm kind of intrigued. I already ran today, I figured I should get out early on days I plan to run outside because it's much easier to avoid people, and I won't totally screw up my sleep schedule and have trouble when I go back to work. I still need to do some cooking, walk Miki a few more times, and work on a few things. I also want to call my mom because it's hard to tell through text if she's really feeling better, and I know now that I shouldn't fully believe what they say.
Miki, I’m glad you have no symptoms. It’s great that you are able walk your dog so much. Enjoy your wine.
I couldn’t sleep last night, so I baked oatmeal cookies that didn’t turn out very well. The batter was too dry. Oh well. Now I’m in so much pain from working on the cookies. I’ll be useless the rest of the day.
Take care.
Miki I am so glad you have no symptoms and pray you dont get any! I really hope and pray that your mom is truly doing better!
Ida i am so sorry you could not sleep and that now your in such pain :( If the cookies are dry just dip them in coffee or milk when you eat them! I am pretty much useless today so im with you!
Miki I pray you don't have any symptoms. Enjoy your walks and the wine.
Ida I want to bake but every time I place an order for groceries there isn't anything on the list of what is available at the store or they cut it when they fill the order. I would give anything for some chocolate.
Angela it sounds like your fiancé is a dream. I hope it stays that he doesn't drive you nuts.
I am about two more days away from a breakdown. My partner now has to go teach the nurses from the covid wing of the hospital how to use all those tablets she has built. That means going into the hospital and being around people that have constantly been around patients. I am scared out of my wits and broke down yesterday. I know she has to do it because it is her job but we are both at high risk and this scares the sh*t out of me.
Today I am playing games on my computer and trying to forget what is going on outside my door. Wish me luck.
Have a good day.
