Hi. I am sorry you are having so much pain and your husband is not being understanding. I use to work on orthopedics and total knee patients use to stay in the hospital much longer, but now as with other surgeries and illnesses people are sent home probably too early and not because you have recovered, but are sent home to continue to get better at home thanks to insurance companies and the high cost of health care. Some people even would go to inpatient rehab facilities at discharge.
It sounds like you have been active enough today for post op day number 5 - maybe to active if you are hurting that badly. Let your Dr and PT people tell you how active to be not your husband and make sure your PT person knows you have fibro.
It may take longer for you to recover because of fibro and that is okay - dont be shamed into thinking otherwise. I had 2 extensive abdominal surgeries a few years ago and it took me twice as long to recover than someone without fibro and I was more painful post-op - I was fortunate to have a Dr who understood that.
You said you were feeling warm - the nurse in me has to tell you to check your temperature and make sure your incision is not getting red / inflammed.
Take Care and message me anytime - big gentle hugs.

I wish there is a way to get the husands to help. I thought i was a having a heart attack a few years back ( turn out to be that costo thing) anyways took myslf to th ER. I called my husband and he said to me " keep me posted"
Well I tell you he was wishing for death by time I go home and got ahold of him. Maybe you got to light a little bonfire under him, (i am sending wood) Oh and Wonder lends out that wife bear suit.
I hope you feel better soon, find a quiet place and take care of you.
I've just realized this morning, it's the emotional help and support I'm missing from him right now. He's pushing so hard with everything else, that he's not realizing I need his emotional support right now, too.
As a result of that, I'm finding myself crying at the drop of a hat!
That's enough for now. I'm so thankful I have this wonderful group to help me.
Love, Elizabeth
I got on up at 6, had coffee, b'fast, and devotions. Then I got myself dressed (!) and we went to have bloodwork done to check coumidin level. I'll have to do that 3 days this week.
I won't start therapy till tomorrow, but I'll be getting out and going there, too. Husband was in a better mood this morning. Maybe the Lord worked on him during the night! Our son has offered to say something to him if he continues to act that way. Hopefully, this has passed.
I have to say that today is the first day I haven't wanted to curl up and die. So that's a positive!
For those who pray, I certainly appreciate your continued prayers for husband and me.
Thanks so much....Elizabeth
