You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.

The more you stay away from exposure to noises, the better chance the tinnitus has at calming down. This might sound funny, but don't focus on the ringing. If you get a little desk fan at work, it should help too with white noise. Try listening to background sounds like the whirring of the fan.... if it's raining outside, listen to the rain. It trains your brain to ignore the ringing which will then reduce in volume.
Btw, have you been seen by your doc to make sure there's nothing else going on like Meniere's disease (hearing loss) or something related to your blood pressure? Hope it calms down soon Hugs
I lived on Oahu for 3.5 years and both my children were born there. Yes, of course military. Thanks for responding to my question. I went to the doctor last week and he basically said, "it comes with age." Wanted to punch him!!! I'm going to try all your recommendations. I've just never had it continuously like this. Maybe it will subside, or I'll just get use to it!!! Thanks again!
How cool you got to live on Oahu for a few years! :)
I forgot that pain meds can cause ringing too, which is why I like to avoid them. So does alcohol (wine, beer, etc). I noticed when I have a little glass of wine, my ears ring. I don't know if it does that to others too. Just a few more things you might want to check into in case you take pain meds or like to have wine with your dinner.
Take care....
