i got nothing
i have to find mom a safer place to live
Someone in her building was mugged. He's in a wheelchair. Right out the front door. I can't find the landlord. I found aN LLC owned by an LLC owned by an LLC owned by an LLC that uses a certain law firm, with a nonprofit in the mix, too, so at this point.... Nobody?....
off to look at a place she can barely afford but at least it might be open soon.
And I can't get a date on ServPro b/c the mold assessor is delaying her report, but we paid her $900 for pity's sake, I don't get it.
They knew it was mold 2 years ago. that I can prove, if I can ever find anyone to report besides "a pile of LLCs and a nonprofit". Somehow, the nonprofit owns the LLCs, I think? ... So they're not liable? It's very upsetting/confusing/exhausting.
Wish me luck.
Peace and healing to all :-)

88FIn 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

I'm so tired still. Damn covid. Thankfully work yesterday was slow, I'm hoping tomorrow will be too. Today unfortunately isn't...I have a doctor's appointment this morning which I'm dreading for several reasons...my doctor sucks and it's just going to be frustrating, I really don't want to get weighed because it's bound to make me feel terrible about myself, and I just don't want the errand. I decided to go to the art store afterwards too, I'll already be almost halfway there so ultimately it'll save me time this weekend. I'm definitely coming home and taking a nap after, and probably relaxing the rest of the day. I might go to the brewery with the signs (didn't get there this past weekend, don't really want to go during the super bowl), but if I feel really terrible I'll skip that. Otherwise just working on burning stuff. I ordered myself a redwood slab to make a coffee table for myself...I have a couple pieces of elm for tables, but this was so pretty. It'll be paid for by the money from the signs too. And I'll sell both elm tables probably, or make myself an end table with the smaller one. Either way they'll still be used for something nice. I think I'm going to finish the raven project for bf, which won't take long really, and then my break from commissions will officially begin. I have so much I've been putting on hold, and as much as I like doing custom pieces for others, I know I need to step back and do stuff for myself. No timelines, I have most of it here so not much money required, and some new and interesting decorations will hopefully be a pick me up. But I need to go get ready, gotta leave in an hour and I have a few things I need to get done before I go.
I did get to the stained glass place yesterday. They are only open by appointment which was not noted on their website. I now know where it is and will maybe try again next week. It was a nice day for a little drive.
I got all excited yesterday because I had a notification in one of my hospital records sites. Thought it was for a COVID vaccine appointment. No, it was for the MRI appointment at 8 AM which I changed. I was really disappointed. The state is not getting the vaccine amounts that they are asking for at all.
Leo - I have no words for the current situation - yours and your Mom. I can completely understand how any of it is just too much. I'm so sorry.
Miki - Taking a break from commissions sounds like a good thing. Especially if you get to work on something for your house for a change. I hope that your appointment isn't as annoying as you think it will be. Try to get some rest later.
Shoutout to AngelaJo, Milily, PuppyMom, Zombie, Wonder, Ida, PainedOne and Twin. I will try to check back later.
Miki i hope you feel better with more energy soon!
Fantod Hope your day goes smoothly!
We are about to get 8 to10 inches of snow, starting any time now. I am exhausted. I been getting up almost everyday at 2 am today i slept till 5 but woke up a lot before that. I just got done with my Therapy appt for grief therapy. I am in awful pain with the storm moving in, just awful i cant stand it. I am just blah today. We have eye appts at 130 Matt and i but if the storm hits were cancelling.
Miki you certainly need a rest. I think a break from your commissions is a good thing. Hope the doctors appointment goes fast and well.
I need that antifreeze stuff for my car too fantod. Hope the MRI goes well. I have no idea when I can get the Covid vaccine. I’m 58. Not sure where I fall in that.
All of my pre stuff is done for my surgery except the Covid test on Saturday and on Monday I find out what time my surgery is for Tuesday. I can bring one person, so my hubby will be there.
Take care.
gotta crash, LOVE TO ALL!!!
Miki I think it is a great idea to do your own thing for awhile. Balance in all things helps us grow and gives us peace.
Ida I am praying your surgery goes well and you will be better soon.
Angela hugs. I know how you feel with the change in weather comes the pain. I hope you find ways to soothe the hurt.
Fantod I hope you can weather the storm that is about to come in no pun intended. It sounds like it is going to be a deep freeze.
Hi to twin. I have missed our talks.
I had covid 19 a year ago December and am still fighting constant sinus and lung infections. I now have a lymph gland infection that won't go away. I have been down since Thanksgiving and was even admitted to the hospital a few weeks ago with the start of sepsis. I have no and I mean NO energy at all and sleep more than half of every day. It takes all my energy to shower and get dressed. I am in constant pain and feel like giving up. I just don't know how much longer I can take antibiotics with no change. I really need to focus on you all right now so I can get out of my own head.
Big soft hugs. Come by here more often if you can .
My Mom now has a UTI. Waiting on her PCP to get a script into the pharmacy. Its going to a 24 place so she can start it tonight. Her ultrasound came back as unremarkable. So we are going with pancreatitis and constipation. Her whole GI system is affected by her posture due to spinal stenosis. It is becoming more of an issue as her age advances.
Autumn it is great to see you. I'm sorry that your health issues are so overwhelming. We all need to get of our heads right now. Its a common theme that I hear from everyone that I know. I sure wish that your health would improve. Sending good thoughts and support your way.
Hi to Ida and Milily!
See you all tomorrow. Wishing everyone a decent nights sleep and some sense of calm.
