God I'm tired...yesterday was busy and then it poured and thundered for a bit. Luckily that waited until a few minutes after I got home. And I was exhausted enough that the thunder didn't keep me up..although it's a bit weird to not have a 13 lb, terrified orange cat following me around :(
Not sure about you guys, but I have a serious case of resting bitch face, especially when I'm tired. I'm not bitchy, it's just my face. And Koshka and Skadi are right there with me. These two actually have a lot in common-see photo below...both of them are tabby cats despite looking so different. Koshka is in front, she's brown with a "classic" tabby pattern. Skadi is more gray with a striped/spotted tabby pattern. They also both have short tails, which is something they were probably born with. Koshkas is a bit longer, but still shorter than a normal cat, and Skadis is probably half as long as it would be naturally. She legitimately looks like a little bobcat. And finally both of them were 7 months old when I got them, about 9 years apart (to the month, both came home in January). I think the short tails are super cute, but they can cause some issues. If they're really short/missing altogether, they can actually have severe nerve problems..the spinal cord essentially doesn't work correctly and they often become incontinent and have trouble walking. It's called "Manx syndrome" after the cat breed known to have very short or absent tails. These girls have enough of a tail to avoid this, thankfully..I don't know that I could handle that. I know how to express bladders and all, but I'm out of the house too long to express the bladder often enough for the cat to be comfortable.
And on that note...I need to get out for a run, then walk Miki crawl back in bed. It's another damp/drizzly day and it doesn’t look like that's changing anytime soon. I'm so damn sick of rain

I just came back from seeing a client's cat today. He called me this morning to report that she was agitated by a change in his routine. She was fine lol. We have a routine and I stuck to it. When I left she was lounging on his bed making biscuits.
Not much on the agenda today. It has just started to rain which we need. We are supposed to get more rain again starting Sunday for several days. That's great but it means that I can't swim either which is kind of a bummer.
TW - Had some excitement in the neighborhood last night. My next door neighbor has some kind of incident about a month ago. The police were here and she installed an alarm about 3 days later. Last night we had unmarked squad cars, no lights or sirens and about 6 officers in vests running up and down the street. The cars came from two different directions so they effectively blocked off both ends of the street. They were here for about 45 minutes and an ambulance came too. She's a widow with 2 tween boys. Has a history of DV so we suspect it's more of the same with an ex boyfriend. My neighbor across the street is going to call the PD today and see what they say. It's a bit unnerving to have so many officers roaming around with guns drawn.
Other than that, it's business as usual. I have some laundry working and plan on staying off of my feet for the rest of the day. I'll be pretty busy this weekend.

Still waiting for the gel type shots for under my knee caps to get approved. They are getting it approved for both but only doing the one bothering me all the time for now, why mess with a knee thats doing ok? But my right knee is in pain 24/7 now and it was my good knee. The orthopedic believes i have most likely a torn menicus in both knees i also have bursitits in both its called
Pes anserinus bursitis also moderate tricompartmental osteoarthritis in both knees. the simple way is to say my knees are not in the best shape.
Its cold today its 51 feels like 47 but was suppose to be 82 LOL Has not rained (we need it bad, rained very lightly for 24 hours a few days ago and was dry within hours of it stopping) have heard a little bit of thunder bu tnot a lot. i was up at 6am, did not sleep well last night either, and then after about half hour fell back to sleep until 8. Internet was still out, played on my phone until about 1030 and then woke Matt up, this is his week where he has thursday and sunday off every other week its that then other times its sat and sun. Today is his 2 years anniversary of working at his job, he started as bagger and delivery for hte grocery store and now is assistant manager of dairy.
Fathers Day is hard for me and its only a few days away :( I did get Matt a card thats from the cat and one that says from teh dog will add an s to it. I hate going by fathers day stuff i miss my dad so much! I want to get him a little gift from his 4 girls (our 4 furbabies) he loves having little girls, he likes picking out little dresses or shirts for them to wear even :) They are all daddys girls but especially Emmie!
