Some of you have heard, but Mr. Leo is very sick. He has pneumonia and as of yesterday, could barely walk. Any thoughts, prayers or well wishes would be very much appreciated. Obviously Leo is really worried about him
I have a busy day ahead of me. I'm about to head out for a run, I have a psychiatrist appointment later this morning, and some errands to run. I need to get to the post office and grocery store. Then I'm meeting my mom for lunch. Usually when it's just me and her, like today, it's not too bad...my dad is the one who antagonizes and then flips out. I have to watch what I say around her but I've done that most of my life, so it's second nature by now. I wish I could be close with my mom but there's too much trauma surrounding that relationship for it to be possible.
Sending soft hugs and purrs of healing to all

88FIn 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

Hoping and praying that Mr. Leo is getting the care that he needs. Sending healing vibes and support out to both of them.
It is sunny but cold here today. I have to cut down my roses today. The West side of the state to about the mid point of the lower peninsula is getting a storm. The snow could total a foot in some areas. My partner plans on bringing in the tractor next week to get it ready for plowing.
Today, I have to run to the credit union and see a new cat sitting client early this afternoon. I have her two cats starting next week on Tuesday. Tomorrow, I have my two Husky nephews in the early afternoon. The sitter has to work so I will run over there to let them out and play.
My partner is working a long day so I will not see him until around 9 tonight. I will probably work on some genealogy when I get home from seeing my client and running a couple of errands. I have a couple of loads of laundry as well.
I hope that everyone that follows is doing OK. I will check back later. Waves!
I hope lunch is smooth and it turns out to be a good time. I grew up with a bipolar mom and I never had a relationship with me dad, so I get it. You do what you can take care of yourself and keep peace in your life. Thanks for the cat pic.
I feel so cold today I actually have the heat on. I have errands to run, up to my mom's to drop off some food, then return something to Good Will, and then to the grocery store for more pie and cake ingredients. My BF and I have been doing so much yummy baking lately that I need to replenish the supplies. Lol. I'm looking forward to getting out of the house but not looking forward to the cold. I miss having warm weather all year round in Hawaii.
Fantod, wishing you luck for finding pet sitters. Cutting roses and plowing sounds like so much work, but so rewarding and I miss having that kind of farm work to do.
Hugs, stay warm everyone.
