What I found is learn and read as much as you can or want to and listen to what your own body tells you I have taken different things from different books and mixed them to make my own bag of tricks we need to research and learn what helps the "ME" in order to inprove our life...one person at a time...
I was speaking to a hospital rep trying to fight off paying for a Doctor visit that ended in five seconds and me in tears...She was so suprised to hear the upbeat tone in my voice? (why)
After we got done with our business she offered diffferent people and phone numbers in my area that treat Fibro her offer of help touched me as she did not have to do so...she went above and beyond her way helping...That is how I feel we are too each other at DS we go that extra mile to help each other and we need not take everyones advice but listen to what helps one may help two...
We have to each learn how to grasp that brass ring and how to hold onto it dearly...remember it is" I " before anything else in each of our own treatments and improvement in quality of life our lives...
Nancy you are a true freind and I enjoy your writtings and input as we all are as different as the birds that fly around us...D your witt and humor has made my day as I know it has touched many other around DS. Your a strong smart loving person and we all are truly blessed to have you start our days with you opening lines...and come backs! Your one smart cookie!

I have missed you all...thanks for listening to my venting...

I also have gone gluten free. cleaned up my diet etc.....and only today I actually used that phrase in my journal reply. I feel that "I am missing something" and cannot fathom what it is.
I have done fasts, eaten raw, done cleanses. eliminated junk, but I am still am fatigued and have only a slight decline in pain.
I have been a member of DS for a year and part of the fibro group for quite some time and so I am not promoting the book as I have no clue what is in it. I was skeptical about this book from the beginning. and I agree that perhaps the tactics of promoting this book is a little underhanded to say the least.
However, dispite all of the negative issues surrounding this topic. I am still willing to overlook ALL of that if it means that I can find this "SOMETHING" that I am missing. I am at a lost. I have taken enzymes, probiotics. done a ton of things. and still cannot rid the chronic fatigue.
Maybe we are being taken for suckers and this is just another wild goose chase after a 'cure' but to me there is this but......what if we are wrong and we are missing this 'something' ?
I am all for finding out what it is I am missing.
I just wish that Annesse would tell me what it is.
MynameisD, of COURSE I know you: you're a regular poster on DS. Perhaps you do not know me, though. When I have brought books up on here, I promote reading the book. I don't promote doing one or two things offered by the book's author. It seems that there IS a contingent of posters who do not like how I do this. They would rather I only post about proven techniques. I disagree. I put it forth, and any reader can take what they wish from it. I say, "i've read this book; it is pertinent and valuable and I recommend reading it." I am doing the same here. If you don't want to read it or don't think it should be promoted, try to ignore the post! but allow others who DO want to read it to have the info available to them. Don't censor. *I* do not benefit and I'm not trying to sell anything, and that is what is against rules on DS.
I do find often that people will do one thing, try one part of a whole and say it didn't work for them. This book describes a step by step discovery that really IS unique from all the literature I have read on FM. For that reason, I can see why the author would not want it disseminated publicly, where someone could take the info and run with making a profit on it AND she would not want someone to try a small facet of her 'cure' and then say it didn't work. If a reader does not know the background of the suggestions, they might misunderstand the suggestions and do it halfway so that it won't 'work'.
If you're seeing red, you're not seeing clearly. I won't be bullied into appeasing your ire. I'll just remind you that I am NOT Annesse, and this post is not a teaser to get people to buy books. It is just my opinion that this book has something to offer in its entirety.
I have read your response and respect your choice. It is not my intent to bully you at all and I am sorry that you thought that.
I find Annese reprehensible and you do not. This is a difference of opinion and that is what makes the world go around.
We will have to agree to disagree on this topic and leave it to DS to decide on the subject.
D
I've appreciated their openness, one thing I also have appreciated from them is never give a an attitude of 'well I guess you don't want to get better if you are skeptical about buying this' No matter what the 'this' was.
I thank them for this.
If you are not interested in reading this book,no one is trying to convince you to do so.Sharing valuable information is important to a support group.
I understand the controversy surrounding this book, however each member can decide for themselves. We do not need the self appointed book police.Banning information that may help others is wrong...................Peace
These posts promoting Annesse's book are no different than the teaser websites that promise you something, tell you just enough to convince they might be on to something and then demand your credit card to proceed to the next screen. That's when I close them just as I do all these posts.
It's unethical to come on a support group with the intention of selling your info.
This is a support group, where we discuss things, tell of our experience and what worked and what didn't and sometimes debate.
Since we all suffer from something similar, it can easily be considered a place to promote a product to get rich quick. We are, so to speak "a captive audience" because we all want desperately to get better, and will read posts that claim help.
But what we do not expect is to have someone tell us just enough to get us interested, then we have to buy something to get the answer... I have never seen that before on here in the year or so I have been here.
Come on now, isn't there enough of this on the internet already without infiltrating our DS support group?
If DS allows anyone to promote their book or product here in order to make money, then how can they stop anyone and be considered fair. Is this really what we want DS to be?
If this book is so good, then why can't it be sold like any other book, by helping people and through word of mouth as well as regular advertising.
If it did what is said about it here, millions of people with Fibro would buy it to see for themselves ALL the details of what this person has discovered. There are other authors of books dealing with Fibro that have sold many books without this type of promotion
I have seen many times in the year or so I have been here discussion of books and what the author says, including the punch line. No author was complaining of lost sales over any of these discussions that I am aware of.
This sounds to me like an old used car sales trick, "get them to buy it before they know whats wrong with it". It certainly sends red flags in my opinion.
And I am not saying the book has no merit, but the author certainly has found ways to promote her book that gives me the impression that it really isn't going to be worth much.
Thats my 2 cents worth...
If I'm wrong, I apologize. With the very limited information provided there's no way I'd buy the book. I have too many stacked next to my bed that haven't worked to invest another $30.
I have been a member in other support groups and I have seen this type of behavior before, people join and promote their "cures".
If I was the founder of the cure for Fibro!!!??? I would tell the world so they could get better!!!
Sorry I have posted 3 times on this topic. I will stop now.
I wish everyone here my best.
This will be my last comment on this subject. I will read and respect any comments that I receive from this posting, then at the end of the day, I will ignore all communication about it.

Hello,
I am writing again to ask that the above thread "Think what you may, but..." be pulled from the main board.
--Where is the author of this information? Gone immediately after she peaked the interest of members here.
--Many things have been said here by different members, but the bottom line for me is that this thread is indeed trying to promote the sale of a book,
-- by an unknown/short term member, who refused to speak about herself or her credentials either on this site or on her e-book site
--who placed a thread to spark interest, stating research done by others and herself, but not stating what medical or scientific publication this research was published, and then refused to give definitive answers to people's questions or divulge "the answer" to our problems, Unless, of course, we bought the book.
--I believe, This aughor came on the site to publicize her e-book from an unknown publisher, which indicates that it is self published,
And finally this has become a very diversive topic, causing arguments among normally peaceful members, and in my view, this needs to be stopped immediately.
