I will read as much as I can, and try what I can with this crazy illness. LOL
right now finances do not allow me to buy the book .
I am hoping that the food recommended and whatever supplements suggested would not cause high financial cost.
I am sure many of us have spent a fortune already on finding things to help us. I know I have.
I am guessing that perhaps some of us here maybe looking at you Narey as our 'guineapig' and waiting to hear of your findings if you do try the diet and recommendations.
As always I understand that everyone is different. what works for one may not work for another but it would be interesting to hear.
Please keep us posted if you or anyone here does try it.
I totally respect that you cannot divulge certain information about the book.
I am on a Dr. recommended gluten free diet which has been helpful with energy. I eat a lot of organic foods and free range meat. I do not use artificial sweetners, or eat foods which contain them or diet soda. No soda actually. I do not eat foods which contain MSG, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Hydroginated Oil, and as I mentioned no gluten. Which means anything which contains wheat, barley, oats or rye. This is a very challenging diet. Grocery shopping takes a long time as I read all labels before buying anything. After awhile though it becomes easier as you learn what products are acceptable.
I am wondering if you would like to share a tad more about this book. Does it cover anything more than the types of things I have mentioned?
Thanks!!
Thanks for your reply.
I guess I am just leery at spending $30 for yet another book promising a "cure". It is difficult for me to see why this is different when there is not enough information given to make a educated decision if it may be something right for me.
My experience with these "cures" has shown there are many things which help people to feel better and some people do actually recover. Then there are others who've tried everything under the sun and remain ill for years. No single treatment seems to work for everyone.
From what I can tell by the resources page, there is a lot of mention of eating whole foods, organic and raw. There is research in this area which suggests that diet does not play a role in Fibromyalgia. A healthy diet is not just for sick people. Everyone could benefit from eating healthier. Our food supply is very unhealthy. Have you seen the recent documentary, Food Inc? I would not however rule out diet, which is why l put so much energy into eating as healthy as I can afford.
I respect your position as it does give a big talking to about copy write laws and piracy. Will look forward to your future posts on this topic.
Best of luck to you!
new, but had to put my two cents in
stopped eating all gluten based items and corn based items on my own... noticing they made me feel worse
interesting....shame that I cant afford the book -- pretty sure no chance of public library carrying it either.
but, I have lost 35 pounds since sept and my inflammation has decreased -- doc thought by now I would be back on the humara; but so far just a few booster shots of steroids. (I have a reactive type ra thing going on to -- broke my ankle badly in sept and my body is trying to adjust to the new hardware. when they put the hardware in my neck; within 3 months I was on RA meds - but after 6 weeks of humara I improved and had little issue with the joints and swelling)
sorry, if this is hard to read or understand -- it's hard for me to explain
Ps sorry about the spelling; not feeling well
I know that you do not know me, but I am not a trouble maker or someone who jumps on bandwagons or lynchmobs.
I Sincerely hope that you do not see this as a personal attack.
I have tried to keep my mouth shut but this entire thing with the book has gotten under my skin.
NOT you believing in the diet or trying it or anything about you. But the tactics used by Annese to sell her book here have made me see red.
It appears to me that she came on the main board here several days ago, posted excerpts from her book, posted even more excerpts until many people were caught in the intrigue of learning how to help themselves, then she said, NO. If you want the answer, buy the book.
That to me is very underhanded and I think that she should be ashamed of herself for these tactics.
Therefore, I sincerely hope that this does not offend you, Will you now explain the diet in full to us?
I do not understand your reasoning that "she has done a lot of work on this issue".
Every person that writes a book has done a lot of work on their book and millions of people worldwide talk about books and explain how they help and why they help and what "the answer" in the book is.
What makes this book so different? Or what makes this author so different?
There is NO difference here than in any other book, Unless Annesse's aim for speaking about it was to sell books. Of Course that is her aim. She would be a lier and a fool not to have the sale of her books as her aim.
I wonder why you will not disclose though.
I am writing to ask that this post and all further posts on this book, which are teasers to lead people onto further sales of the book, be deleted.
D
I'm all for the info getting out there and applaud Annesse for her work, but coming on here pretending to be part of a support group only to demand $29.95 for the info is beyond unethical and I will follow your lead in reporting these threads and asking that they be deleted and would urge others to do so as well.
As anyone who has read my posts knows, I share whatever info, links or knowledge I have that might help others as that's the purpose of a support group.
I thought DS wouldnt allow this. I know one thing if I knew things what would help us I would share it with everyone right here.
Hayley shares her Trigger Point therapy with us and doesnt tell us to buy the book to find out how to do it. A big thank you to Haley for doing that to help us.
