We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. So like I said, I'm exhausted and in pain from using my small cultivator to rip up grass on one side of the driveway. I went to Home Depot to get mulch and some shrubs/ground covers now that I knew how much space I had, and I got a much larger cultivator with a long handle. Not sure my knees can handle all that up and down motion again. I did finish that side and it looks great, I even got planters and decorations up. Today's project is the other side. I have to dig up 2 arbor vitae trees, rip up the grass, put down weed block, and plant 2 shrubs. I ended up needing more mulch so I'm not sure if I'll finish this side 100%, but I can at least put mulch around the new shrubs. It's going to be very cold tonight into tomorrow so I need to get them in the ground today and the mulch will insulate them. I also need to go grocery shopping and maybe introduce Miki to the puppy, depending on how much time I have. Time to get started though. Hugs everyone
I've been around even though I haven't posted. I keep reading to stay intouch with everyone!
Leo, the kitty chirping sounds cute! Sounds like our little Beans (Boston terrier) and his need to be covered for bed time.
Mikki, hoping you feel less achy as the day goes on! You do so much and I'm just in awe of your abilities.
The remodel won't begin this week coming up, but that's OK. I've been too stiff and achy to move much out of the kitchen. The contractor did find the furnace door we wanted, so that is a huge win! Now all the doors on the hallway will look the same. We still have to finalize flooring. My samples just aren't coming in as quick as I would like. We're rethinking the counter top. I think it will look to creamy with the wood we picked for the cabinets. We need to take our sample to Lowe's and check it out.
Hoping everyone has a good day and a great weekend!
Miki i hope your day goes well!
