Sorry to hear that you continue to flare. :-( I agree with you on your fibro thoughts. We do have better days and can go on and have a chance to improve....many don't. I hope you find a way to relieve some of your pain today. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
Sending healing hugs to all of my fibro friends this morning (((hugs))),
Kel
I've taken a page out of your book Kel and am trying to think of all I have to be great full for when things get bad. I know that was your new years resolution so I'm a little late.... I hope you have a good day today.
Miki glad to hear your run didn't make things too much worse. I used to run but have swapped it for spinning, yoga and weight training which all seem to be doing my body good.
Ida I am glad to hear you were able to find a house and put in an offer! I really hope it goes well. It sounds like a nice little cozy home. One day I'm hoping for a fireplace too.
Blue I am continuing my job search. I was able to meet with a former colleague. She gave me some pointers on the job hunt etc and said she will keep her ears open so here's hoping something pans out soon. Thank you for the good energy wishes!
I am on day 2 of this cold. Fever throat killing me and body aches. We'll see how things go today. May have to throw in the towel and take a half day. Thankfully I have a wonderful hubby who got me theraflu, which knocks me out cold, so I slept well.
However I thought I would share this note from the universe. (If you haven't checked it out I recomend it the universe will send you an email daily)
What if every "no," meant "not yet"?
Every setback meant, "there's something way better"?
Every loss meant, "even more is on the way
Yeah, precisely -
The Universe
Kel, big ole hugs to you in the frozen tundra. Don't do anything this weekend that you know you shouldn't do. ;) BTW what did counselor #2 say yesterday?? Contact your neuro? Take it easy.
Hi Miki, we are supposed to be in the 40-50 all weekend. Hoping some of our snow melts and we can completely clear the driveway. Well that is my plan, not sure about the boys who will be moving the snow/ice. I am happy you were able to run last night. Isn't your ortho appointment this coming week for your hip? Take it easy this weekend and I hope your hot water is back.
I am keeping on, keeping on. I have a yard sale tomorrow that I have to work at. The proceeds go to St. Baldrick's and towards my head shaving. I am not looking forward to that at all, but... Have a good day all.
Kel, big return on hugs!
Miki, *envy* on the running. Haven't done that in years, go you!
Maynard, take the half-day. I just got over tha tkind of cold. Take the half-day, heal up:-)
Ida, yay on the house!
Crumbs, big support on post-fire. Been there, done that, after my mom damaged a room in my house during her brain tumor....
Back to the Safe Room....Blessings on all, and I know I missed everyone from yesterday, sorry! Mental exhaustion trying to juggle my mom's moods, my mom's medical appointments, my own stuff... I had to cancel a bucket of stuff b/c I was insurance-less, and now I'm on insurance again, I still have to wait till after April 1 to even set the appointments, b/c of the fun intricate small tiny red tape print crap.... I say we all run for congress.... good health plan, nice salary, and you don't even really ahve to show up most of the time...
Crumb, sorry you have to deal with the aftermath of a fire. But happy you were okay and not injured, well besides smoke inhalation. Eye candy in the ER certainly helps. I hope your friends grandson is okay after being scalded. Thinking of you as you deal with the aftermath of the fire. I love your Universe!
Leo, it makes me so happy to know you are on insurance again, but not that you have to wait a month and a half for appointments.
Angela, glad you got some sleep and that the therapists were helpful and worked on what YOU needed. Take it easy today. I am sure that means you will be cooking or baking.
I have become obsessed with having chocolate lately. Not sure what the deal is but by 2pm it is all I crave. I think I will buy some Dove dark chocolates this weekend and keep them in my desk and promise only 2 a day!!
Thanks for the check in Leo. Sorry you are in pain and that your insurance is a pain. Hang in there.
Big hello to Kel, miki, Maynard, crumbs, bbmom, Angela, and all who follow. I pray all of you have a great weekend.
Still praying that all works out on the brick house. I love it, and the lady will get 20 acres that she wanted. This place is only 15 minutes from our daughter as was the almost house we thought we were going to get. But it's a nicer home by far.
Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. Now to get our house sold.
Take care.
BBMom im making homemade broccoli cheese soup with bacon added to it today and i add cauliflower. Mom said shed buy it i i made it adn i get to keep half :D
I also envy that you can run. My knees wouldn't be able to handle it...not to mention most of the rest of me. :-) Would love to just play a show pickup basketball game or something again even.
Maynard,
I hope you find some relief from that cold. I've been pretty lucky so far this winter with that (now I'll have one tomorrow!). It feels like one is coming on from time to time...then backs off.
crumbs,
I almost had a fire going many years ago. A valve blew off or our furnace and was shooting flame a few feet across the basement floor. My wife asked me what we could do and I said let the cats out and grab what you want to keep! :-) The old house had no emergency shut offs, I could have shut the gas off at the tank, but there would have been an awful lot of gas still in the lines. Anway..some kind of valve built into the furnace must have worked because it suddenly stopped.
Angela,
I hope you have a better day today!
bbMom,
I'll join you in your chocolate obsession if you're sharing?? ;-) My therapist cancelled which caused a remarkably severe reaction with me. BUT, I survived it. Didn't contact the neuro yet but know that I should. I did make an appointment to get my left knee checked, which is almost as good. :-)
I hope you get that house! It sounds very nice and will be great to be close to your daughter!
This insurance thing is making me nuts. It'll be April 1 before I can even make appointments, let alone go to one... Som enew red tape thing about what I "need" and "don't need". But that's when the "new" version kicks in versus my "we're letting you keep this old one you paid for" BS. I'm just trying to be grateful I can "restart" in April. Hey, what's a couple months in health care? LOL.
More chocolates to all.... and sprinkles.... and hugs.... and now, to spend my afternoon doing something that has nothing to do with insurance, doctors, et cetera. Maybe read a book about trees or something.
