This symptom can be very scary...do any of you have this issue??? It feels like a heart attack~(even tho i've never had one!)...i don't know how else to explain it.

I was told by my Dr. it is called, "Costocrondritis".....not sure if i spelled this right. Do any of you experience this? I find it very painful...i will apply moist heat to my chest and get some relief.

It is amazing where a person can develope a muscle spasm...i hope my Dr. is right about all this...any one else deal with this?

Yes. And we have some members here who can't get rid of it. It is known to happen to fibro patients.

also trigger points below collar bone cause same pain like aginia toke nito for over 4yrs then finally stopped cause it caused horrible headaches i have MVP(is a deformed heart valve refused to have it replace in 1980) which alot of FIBRO have along w/Crohnes(also refused surgery 12in on ea side 1993) have learned to control both w/ restoritive yoga/meditition/deep proper breathing!& DIET
more like just get away from all stress & enjoy the day! not a cure but a releif! even for a few min.

Hi jorgee, and welcome to the group!
There was a post here recently on this, so I've pasted the link below.
I have costochondritis. I've had it for years. It used to come and go, and then after a bad accident, it stayed.
Good luck. Another good place to learn about the people here and what we've used to help is The Fibro Puzzle. If you type that into the search window at the bottom of the page on the Discussion list, and then click on Search, it will bring it up. Hugs :)

Misunshine, thanx for the info...you know my Dr. did not do any testing on my heart at all~do you think this is odd. He just examined me and was positive it was this "costro" thing!?
