several years ago my rep from the American Legion presented a theory that my symptoms stemmed from smoke inhalation at the Pentagon during the 9/11 (when i had to go up there and deliver tents to the guys sorting out the charred mess). the Pentagon burned for 4-5 days and i remember breathing in lots of smoke before i even reached the 1st ring of security that night. the closer to the crash site, another ring of security and thicker smoke. the officers all had hazmat suits on but NONE of us enlisted did. we had no protection on whatsoever.
anyways, the VA keeps denying me compensation for FM and the rep i had back then said that if i could only find that enlisted person that drove up there with me, so we could both write to the VA and get our compensations. especially if we both have the same health problems!!
well guess what?! a friend of mine who also served with us (that i finally got in contact with) gave me HER number and she told me that she has ALL the same symptoms I DO!! i just got off the phone with her after all these years!!!! her docs haven't dx her with FM yet, tho cuz they don't know what's wrong with her or what to do with her. so i told her to get to a rheumatologist and ask to be seen for fibro. i'm pretty DAMN SURE she has it after she told me all her problems and symptoms!!!!
i guess that American Legion rep was right! we also agreed that her and i are gonna help eachother get our VA benefits approved cuz she's been running into the same problem i have, they keep screwing her over!!! what the hell's wrong with our VA???
anyways, if any of you have ever been around a burning building and you are now sick, that's just something to think about. smoke inhalation carries a lot of toxins into our system that can do more damage than just some coughing. take care and cross your fingers that THIS gets us our long due compensations! sheesh......

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
think about it, the chemicals in the smoke are from burnt plastics rubber, lead paint, jet fuels, and in your man's case lots of other toxins!! and that stuff sits in your lungs which then your blood cells transport to the rest of your body!
your guy should have been compensated, just as we should have been, for our service and now we are paying the price. i hate that they keep denying us.
so if anyone else here inhaled shit too that has toxins, yeah, that stuff doesn't just sit in your lungs, it gets distributed by your cells to your brain, your heart, central nervous system, your liver, and on and on.....
now, if i could only find more of these troops that were there (at the Pentagon) and now sick. and find their names so we could get a really strong case against the VA...... the rest of my platoon stayed back and sent the 2 of us, so i don't know the rest of the enlisted that were up there and i don't remember any of their names.
how do i do that if i'm all the way in Hawaii and the Pentagon is in DC? i need to find these people.
anyways.... i just wanted to share the news with y'all and pop the question into your minds that maybe you were exposed to toxic fumes and smoke too.
After the swine flu turned out to be a hoax and the vaccine has been recalled by the FDA, I don't trust vaccines and won't take them regardless.
As far as I know they have not linked FM to any known chemical toxicity found in the body ? But who knows what went through the air during the 911 attack... or if those jets were carrying other toxic chemicals that might of been released during their attack ?
I think the closest way to find out is what the majority of people who were closely exposed to the after math of this attack and what they are feeling or going through. Those who were within blocks or miles of the incident when it occurred. Not exactly sure how to find that out.
FM is worldwide it seems like and not isolated to any one type of enviorment makes it hard to understand what is causing what seems like.
Have you been tested for known chemical toxicity type tests ? Such as lead, mercury, things like that ?
Got me curious going to try do some research ... Good point seagully about the vaccines too.
