I was recently diagnosed with FM. I have had Chostrocondritis for 8 years. I have depression issues, insomnia, restless leg syndrome, headaches. Vertigo, and hypothyroid morning with Hashimotos. Basically I am a complete mess that feels like I am falling apart at 39yrs old. I have been having issues lately with bruises that I have no idea how they got there. Mostly yellowish in color, some are black and blue. For the last few days I have had pain down the side of my left leg from the outter side of knee going up. My husband says he can feel something there. It hurts to the touch and if it is touching the bed. I have had some pains that hurt to the touch of clothes or sheets. I tend to not get dressed unless going somewhere.

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...

I agree with Wvgirl82--diet and movement is the key to surviving this.
Being sensitive to pressure from clothing and bed sheets is called "Allydonia." It is pretty common among people with Fibromyalgia. Many of us have had to retool our wardrobes to accommodate sensitivities to fabric etc.
I urge you to go back to your doctor about that bruising. That is not a Fibromyalgia symptom and should be checked out. Not everything is Fibromyalgia related. The same for the pain running along the outside of your leg.
Take care.
Welcome! Sorry for your pain.
Hope that you can find some relief.

New symptoms need to be checked by your Dr for sure . I bruise easily and years ago when I told my Dr about it, he did blood tests.
I was 36 when fibro and other chronic illnesses appeared. I will be 53 soon and feel like 100.
I wear all cotton clothes and my bedding etc. is 100% cotton ( I am allergic to polyester and more) . You will have to figure out what type of clothing and bedding is best for you. I would wear less clothes around the house , but my son still lives at home while going to college.
