i would definitely mention your family history to your doctor . He/She can do basic tests, to see if you have RA or any inflammation in your body. Then depending on what your tests show, it would depend where you go next . To have other tests ie, MRI, Bone density, see a Rheumaologist, or have Scans done. But in the mean time find out more about your family, what age did they get RA, who all had it. Do a journal of how you feel daily, aches, pains,highs/lows. Also when you ache does heat, ice, massage anything help. Have you had vitamin levels checked? There is so much we can check up first so that it does not cost a fortune for tests. Plus have you had other blood work in the last 6 months or year, xrays, broken bones, accidents. Hope this helps isabee
Good advice since I don't have insurance. Both my dad and sis were diagnosed last year so not very long. But I do want to have my vitamin levels checked as well; pretty much a check up. Thanks you!
