I have that problem all the time. I really notice it when I am at work and I will be talking and say the totally wrong word. I know what word I am thinking but another bizarre word comes out of my mouth. People look at me like I am nuts. It's just too hard to explain the fibro thing to everyone so I tend to not speak up as much as I used to.

Typing is a whole other story. I get all jumbled up now.

You're gonna love the next stage of the "forgot to tie the other shoe" phenom, since you're already up to the what was the question stage, next is the mumbles, where your mouth feels like your testing for a most number of marbles it can hold contest. I use a little provigil some days, most days, as it increases my concentration and enables me to retrieve words a little faster. I only take a half because it does add to my anxiety. I need it when I have to sit and meet with people, otherwise it's just too hard to make conversation sense.

I guess this also explains why I called my daughters cell phone and she never answered. When she got home and I asked why she didn't answer she said it hasn't rang so I called in front of her and it never rang. I looked at the number I dialed and none of the numbers were right.LOL....You have to laugh because the other option is to cry and that want help.

MEEEEE TOOOO!!!! I think my husband is grateful though, I tend to interrupt him! LOL... Just yesterday I had to leave a message for my GYN...went through all of what I had to say. I was fine till I got to the "My phone # is......umm.609......ummmm...ahhh...I'll just have to call you back with my phone #.... " How embarrassing is that??

Yeah, after reading all of your statements I have had all of the above situations for about 4 years only getting worse as I get older. Now just about 54. The other day my sister had to just about do the entire converstation on the phone. I asked her if she felt like she was playing a Game Show as she had to give me clues as to what I was trying to tell her. The words all dropped out of the memory bank. I was embarrassed but she has been around me enough now to see how badly Fibro has affected my brain. We try to laugh about it.
Tho when I got off the phone I was upset. Honestly I could't recall anything I wanted to say...I felt as blank as the computer screen.
It is scary to me sometimes. I think is this Altzheimer's. I have
been looking for work and I wonder how am I going to function
when my recall is so poor? I worked for 31 years in Telecom
and had to think quickly problem solve and get off the phone.
It was highly demanding and I knew alot. Two years later my
brain feels like toast.......
