Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Well..my thyroid might be a problem. I have a high TSH but normal T4. TSH increases when your thyroid isn't producing enough thyroid hormones...if only the TSH is high, it could be early or subclinical. Will wait and see if they want to do anything about that or just recheck it at some point. Either it'll even out or my T4 will drop. Meanwhile it's hot and I'm working with Karen, and I have no...

I have Fibro and been having pain since 2008. All I can say is stress does not help us with Fibro pain. It makes our pain worse. First, pray about it. See what God is saying about the situation. If he is a Vet then maybe they can help out. It sounds like he has some issues with drinking, and that is probably the reason no one wants to take him in. Maybe have another talk with him and give him a deadline to have his stuff together or he has to move out. You have to mean what you say and be firm when you say it so he knows that you mean business when you say it. It's really not your problem that he has no where to go. This could be what is causing a lot of your pain. Pam

Fibromyalgia is triggered in some people by high levels of stress, an accident, surgery, childbirth and emotional abuse. The mechanism that triggers it is not understood.
It sounds like you were given two medications that are used to treat Fibromyalgia. How long did you take them? The longer a chronic pain cycle continues the harder it becomes to manage or stop. Taking medication for Fibromyalgia is different than other illnesses. It can take as long as a month to notice a change in your symptoms. And, there are other options if those two medications did not work for you. It does take time and a lot of tinkering to find the right combination of medication/s for each Fibromyalgia patient.
It is not uncommon for people with Fibromyalgia to have several underlying health issues such as arthritis etc. You should also get a sleep study done. Poor sleep contributes to your pain levels. Getting restorative sleep is a critical part of managing Fibromyalgia.
Good luck and take care.
You are allowing yourself to be taken advantage of and that will definitely produce stress and physical pain. In addition it is no good for your self-esteem to allow yourself to be used the way you are doing.
This person is not your problem. Where he goes next is not your problem. Your only responsibility is to yourself. You need to take care of yourself and rid your life and your home of a deadbeat user.
Tell him to leave. If that doesn't work involve the police and make them force him to leave. Whatever it takes please take care of yourself and do the right thing.
