Has anyone tried this for lowering cholestrol? My doctor wants me to start it and I am nervous as most cholestrol lowering drugs cause muscle cramps, aches and severe fatigue in lots of folks. In other words it can make your FM worse than ever.
My doctor said this one doesn't do that. But I don't trust doctors that much. Anyone ever try this? Can you help me with how you reacted to it. I have been warned that it causes flushing(hot flashes) But that I am not afraid of. I am the other stuff.

I haven't tried it...my cholesterol is Thru the roof...but my Experience with MOST meds tells me that I will have bad Luck with these cholesterol lowering meds as well...and am NOT willing to take out my remaining kidney or liver to save my heart {I need my kidney and liver too}...as with Most of what I have going on, I have taken the stance of living my Life to the fullest, and when it is over I can Rest in Peace knowing I have Loved, been Loved, Helped people and Accepted help, Forgiven people and have been Forgiven...and have Not made One company richer by buying into their Ideals that they have miracle pills for anything...it is a give and take with any drug...they may help one thing, by makeing something else worse...is up to Each of us what we can Tolerate within our Bodies...what types of Side Effects are Acceptable...my Dr. gave me vytorin...I brought it home...looked it up...Promptly threw it in the Trash...as with just about any meds I have attempted.

All I can say is... try it...no matter what the Experiences others have...it is Your body, and you are going to react Different then many...you may handle the meds just Fine...you will know within a few pills what happens on the short term...is this a med you have to have Liver tests done ? cause what I wanted to know, and my dr. would not answer is...is the damage already Done by the time you catch it ? or does it creep up slowly, and can it be reversed...no answer there...so I threw it...I already feel like crap ty...don't need to feel worse.

I am not sure if this was one of the ones that my sister took after her heart attack, but she went through just about every choice there was for cholesterol and she couldn't tolorate and of them. Are you sensitive as a general rule? Have your pharmacist double check it against your other meds for interactions and if there are none, give it a shot. Good luck

I haven't used this particular medicine but I used to take Lipitor several years ago. I took it for about 6 months or so. It did bring my cholesterol levels down to a normal amount and I didn't really have any bad side effects from taking it. Give it a try and see what it does. If it gives you bad side effects, you can stop using it right away. Love and Hugs, Debbie

    Is anyone here allergic to Sulfa that is currently taking Diamox? I have been diagnosed with IH now for almost 2 years. I am allergic to Sulfa drugs meaning that my throat will swell up so my Neurologist put me on Topamax. I was suffering from major loud whoosing noises and the topamax helped that but everyday I still hear those mainly between 6 - 12 pm. I am at my wits end and have not went...

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
