Now, I've gotten one prescription covered for the New Year, and paid for, my insurance has decided I am taking too many opoids. The pharmacy won't refill my prescription. First time this has happened. Wrote to Doctor, sent emails, called 3 times. Still, not getting my pain meds without prior authorization. Just waiting. Helpless, at this time. Oxycodone. Been taking it for a decade and more.
Anxiety hit the roof. Cannot manage it. Afraid to medicate it. Don't need another dependency. How hard it is to be sick, even when you find the right docters. Now, what can I do, but wait and see. Have enough for five more days. Three day weekend this week. Oy Vey!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

Today (August 8) is INternational Cat Day. Don't click away! International DOG day is August 26! Both were created to raise aweareness and funds for the well-being of critters. We have many such dayts, to the pint that every day is like an old Catholic saints' day calendar: Take your pick!I'm home, obvs, and still ill. Left calf and foot not great after a tangle-fall, but i'll live. Just can't...

Meanwhile, the whole thing has backfired for the country and there are more overdose deaths than there were before, since addicts will take anything, and suppliers will sell them anything, so heroin is being mixed with fentanyl and killing the addicts at greater numbers.
Even in the anti opiate literature, they say that only 5% of people who take opiates for chronic pain for more than a year, become addicts. We are dependent, since there just isn't anything else that works as well for pain, but we are looking for pain relief, not any kind of high.
Anyway, I got my prescription on Friday. I hope you get your situation sorted out soon.
Leo, have you tried DrugsRx? I had an expensive drug that insurance wouldn't pay for, so I did get the coupon from DrugsRx, and got it for a much reduce price compared to retail.
