New to this group....hi!

Hello all, I'm new to the Fibromyalgia group, but have been with the MS group for a while. I'm trying to get a diagnoses, I have had pain from head to toe for the past 6 months, when I wake up it feels like someone beat me with a baseball bat in my sleep. Really deep horrible muscle/bone pain in my legs, arms, lower back and neck, even my hands and fingers hurt. I'm tired all the time. I also have DDD and Plantars Facsitis. I had a MRI of the brain and spinal cord, they found four old lesions on my brain and the MS specialist doesnt think I have MS, but she said to come back in a year for another MRI, in the meantime she wants me to see a Rheumatologist. I had the ANA blood test and all the other autoimmune diseases came back negative. I have a feeling that I have Fibro, but those darn lesions on my brain are throwing me off. Thanks for listening. i know how you feel, they think i have fibro...but are retesting my blood in 4 months i have some inconstant symptoms and blood elevations that concern them...hang in there it seems a DX takes a while

Hi, Bon, and welcome to the group! Sounds like you have good testing going on to find out possible causes for your pain. Keep it out, to rule out anything else but fibro. It is also possible to have fibro AND another illness.

There's lots of great info and support here....I hope you enjoy meeting everyone!

Welcome to you, Bon...when my fibro is bad, I feel like I've been beaten with a bat or something in my sleep, too. Either that, or stretched in a torture device.

Hi and welcome and sorry for your pain. i have this too and think that many people with autoimmune disease do. I searched for years to find out what was wrong with me and all my tests were negative except i had lesions on brain. in the end i had an incurable muscle disorder (diagnosis was thru muscle biopsy) and fibromyalgia. Welcome aboard Bon67. Hopefully you will get a diagnosis soon. I usually say I feel like I have been hit in the back of my head by a 2 by 4 piece of wood. Sounds like you should also look into CFS. An ANA test is not always accurate, It can test negative when you are positive, and it can test positive when you are negative. My Dr would run the ANA several times and look for other signs of Lupus. CFS and fibro often present together. We are hear for you.
