Hello all,
I just recently got diagnosed with Fibro, after about a year and a half of having symptoms I finally found a doctor that listened to me. Right when I got the diagnosis I also had emergency surgery to get my apendix removed which threw me into a horrible flare up. All the symptoms that had been bearable intensified and I can't seem to get into remission or get this flare to calm down, it's been about a month now. Some symptoms are better but the one I'm having a hard time dealing with is the Fibro Fog. The Fog is strong with this one. I keep forgetting the next word I was going to say in a conversation or even forgetting what the conversation was about. Some of my words are slurring together and not a lot of people that I am around know about fibro or how it affects someone. I don't quite know how to explain it to people either. Another new, scary symptom was when I went back to work after surgery the extreme fatigue would hit me and I'd be typing an email while nodding off and pull myself out of it a bit and what I had typed was gibberish. I also had an experience at work as well where the fatigue hit, I nodded off or blacked out and forgot where I was for a minute and thought I was in bed and went to pet my cat and almost fell out of my work chair. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Because of the surgery and the first medication(an anti malaria med b/c I also have the start of RA) made me horribly sick I haven't been able to really start treatment. I'm trying to do things naturally at first, I signed up for Yoga, acupuncture and am going to get regular massages as well as seeing a therapist. It's just so much right now I dont know how to deal with it all and any tips would be greatly appreciated!

It's official. They invented a washing machine that notifies you by text your laundry is done because of idiots like my hubby. Gotta redo the load b/c he left it in the washer overnight. EW.The skink caught by Dahlia two days ago remains hidden under our baseboards. WEon't come out for anything. I give up. I'll have to cope with the stink of dead skink which is likely its fate. Love Hubby but he...

Twenty-five years since 9/11 attacks on the US changed things (or not).Current NYC Mayor Mamdani has released a shi*-ton of files about the air quality as it was known to be by the Giuliani administration 20-plus years ago. Turns out, yes, they knew it was that toxic. And, since people of all faiths died that day, let's not go into that, please. They were firefighters, bankers, cops, cooks,...

I take 300 mg of CoQ10 each morning (from CostCo or Sams Club) to help with the fatigue and fog. It doesn't cure it, but I notice when I run out how much worse I am w/o it. I also get acupuncture and am currently getting some PT. And I take an OTC sleep aid at night for sleep... because we fibro folks don't usually get good rest at night, which contributes to the fog and fatigue. I hope this helps. Hugs and hope to see you around.
