I'm new here and this is my first post. It's nice to know that there are others out there that experience the same things that I do. Lately,I just feel like I'm at the end of my rope, the everyday pain of the fibro and the stress of iving with it has taken its toll. I'm not suicidal but I am depressed and feeling like if I have to keep going, that its not really worth it. What can i do?? It just gets old. It just makes you not want to be here anymore. That 's about it for tonight. Thanks for listening to me ramble.

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. TSH increases when your thyroid isn't producing enough thyroid hormones...if only the TSH is high, it could be early or subclinical. Will wait and see if they want to do anything about that or just recheck it at some point. Either it'll even out or my T4 will drop. Meanwhile it's hot and I'm working with Karen, and I have no...

It helped me to join this group - I felt so alone with this before joining.
I have been dealing with depression and anxiety for over 30 years. I so understand what you are feeling. It helps me to tell my day in Leo's daily check-in thread. Please join in. It's a place of respite for all of us.
Please speak to your doctor about your depression. I am on meds and also see a therapist, and a psychiatrist. I hope you feel better soon.
This is a great group that will "get" you. I've also been treated for depression/anxiety...well, am being treated. It seems to come with Fibro. miily has a great suggestion in that you should see a Dr about your depression. Come out here, chat early, chat often.
Keep your chin up.
I also think that you should see your doctor and discuss your depression with them. Many of us see someone for additional support. It can be treated and you can gain some tools to help you better cope with this complex illness.
If you are up to it, join us on the daily check in that our lovely spokesmodel, Leo, hosts every morning. As head Nerd, she treats us to a wildly diverse abundance of trivia and the scientific wonders of the universe. You never know what you might learn. Jump right in or lurk. Either way you are welcome and not alone!
Thank you again for all of your supportive comments :)
I've been on this group 6 of my 20 years with fibor, and it's done more for me than the docs, simply b/c other than my now-retired rheumy? Not a lot of people really got it. My rheumy (a male even) had FM back when I was dx'd in the 90s.
Anyway, welcome!
