Hello all!
I was diagnosed Tuesday by my primary care Dr with fibro. Not sure if I'm sold on it. I originally went to the Dr because my Raynaud's was lasting several hours and it is very painful. I get a butterfly rash on my face quite frequently (I was called out at work about it a few times). I also am super tired (I'm usually very active), have pain on occasion, headaches, weird sores on occasion and have big brain fog. Two weeks after my appointment, I was experiencing lightheadedness, tremors, chest pain, and was falling. This lasted for almost a month until just a few days ago.
I had my bloodwork done. The all say its normal. A few elevations in protein levels but very minimal. I had a CT scan at the ER and said I was normal. I had an ultrasound Thursday and nothing was out of the ordinary. All my symptoms point towards Lupus but BC my bloodwork so far has been OK they said I have fibro.
Not quite sure what to think. I have a hard time with this Dr as they took almost a month of me bothering them about explaining my blood results (wouldn't say good or bad) and probably still wouldn't know if I didn't call all the time (haha). I was falling out of my chair at the doctors office and slurring my speech because I was so lightheaded and had some major hip pain at the time, but they told me I just had period cramps BC I was half way thru my cycle. I ended up going to the ER later that day BC I was falling at home.
So here I am. Its not vertigo or appendicitis (had that out) so I'm unsure if this is correct or not. I know everyone is different but my face rash is embarrassing and I haven't heard anyone talk about that who's had fibro.

I just know my symptoms are different from one day to the other. I do have skin problems but on my back. I am covered either in a rash or I break out really bad. It becomes really itchy.
It's not easy and I really feel for you.
Fibromyalgia is a very complex illness. It has a very long list of underlying issues which can include Raynauds, vertigo, weird skin problems and so on.
You should see an ENT about your balance issues to rule out a middle ear problem.
A sleep study should be done to rule out any disturbances that are occurring while you sleep. This may account for your cognitive isses/brain fog.
I can tell you that diagnosing Lupus can take quite a while. You can have both Lupus and Fibromyalgia. If your rashes come and go, take some pictures to show your doctor.
You are going to have to be your own best advocate and get some more help with your health issues. Good luck and take care of yourself.
Major hip pain may be bursitis which is also another "perk" of Fibromyalgia. I have it in both hips and shoulders. See an orthopedic doctor to rule that out. It needs immediate treatment because it can be persistent.
