It's tough, processing it all, but one day at a time is all any of us can do. I am sorry you are having a lot of pain. So many people so much pain :( so we are never alone in our battles. I Hope you have lots of support. Mystery fevers? You keep a fever? Low grade? I hope they can find out what is causing them and you get some good safe help to manage your pain and fingers crossed you don't have MS.

I wish also for you that your news is good! I have 2 discs in neck, 2 in lower back that are disintegrated now. Meds help sometimes, ice helps sometimes, heat helps sometimes. No surgery option for me yet, not till last resort, I will pray for you

Wow, that's amazing news.... Not good or bad but... boggling? I mean, there's a chance you could have a lot of pain alleviated if there's treatment for the Wandering Disc, at least.... As for the rest, who knows? Not this puma. But big prayers going your way that it's a good outcome:-)

Sure hate to hear about all that is going on in your life. Your mystery fevers really caught my attention as I am dealing with the same thing myself. Actually I have been dealing with them off & on since 1982. I was in the hospital on three different occasions then (1982 - 1983 - 1987) & each time I was released from the hospital my diagnosis was Fever of Unknown Origin.

Back then I would run fevers that were 4 to 5 degrees above my normal temp. The one I am experiencing now is totally different. Sometimes I get hot & my temp is below 98.6. I call it my clammy moist episodes. Even weirder is the fact that it only affects me from just below my neck to the top of my head. I either get sweaty - have moist skin or on occasion I feel like someone has unzipped my skin & inserted a heating pad that is turned on high just under my skin.

My current doctor has no idea but then again the 30 or so doctors who examined me back in the 1980's had no idea. BTW, today is day #103 in a row. It sure does drain me.

If you find out anything of importance, please pass it along to me.

I'm with Leo. I see this as an opportunity to maybe eliminate the additional pain you've been experiencing. I'm praying this can only be good. A lot of things resemble MS, please don't worry I've been there too. Hugs

1sugarbear I will keep you posted. I seem feverish every night, including hot to touch and tomato red. The thermometer disagrees often. This is also when I have speech problems and hallucinations. I am known to have those with any fever over 102, which is also why I think they may be fevers and my thermometer is not accurate. Forgot to pick a new one up when I was out!

I pray you get some answers, and help. Your fevers reminded me of Bear right away. I was tested for MS too, about 3 years ago. I had every symptom there was. Turns out it was the fibro. This is a darn baffling disease. Take care.

I see your name is puppymom. What kind of dog do you have? I so badly want a Goldendoodle, as everyone here knows, and is probably sick of hearing. :o)

Sugarbear -- My fevers actually began a few months ago with additional severe leg pain. I also had a severe case of bronchitis in the mean time, so thought that the fevers were because of the bronchitis. It seems to have left, but the temp has stayed. Since I rarely even run a fever when ill, this is bugging me quite a bit.

Idajoy -- I have two mix breeds at the moment, a mostly black lab mix and another who is so mixed up even the vet cannot tell which breeds she might be. We were told Pomeranian and Sheltie, but she doesn't look like either and has very short hair. At one point we had 4 dogs and two cats, but some were elderly and have passed on. There is a goldenoodle in the neighborhood, he seems like a real sweetie! This is my second lab mix and I am a real fan of the breed traits.
