When I won my SSD case finally in 2009 they told me I would be reviewed in 7 yrs. I have no idea if this is normal.
Certain mental illnesses where the final disability assessment was not completed at time of approval are subject to detailed review as well.
In my case, I was approved, however, the judge said my disability assessment was incomplete, and that it would be reviewed again. I have been working for the past year to obtain the psychiatric evaluation, functional capacity evaluation, medical evaluation, and have it prepared for the review.
It is important to ensure that what you placed on your original disability application is what you see as your disability level, because you signed this application.
