Well, wel, well. Isn't that interesting. As insect diversity plummets, AI ocntinues to rattle our cages, and more, here's some positive news for you:Green spaces in cities like London and Barcelona are not only lowering heat island effects but lowering *breathing difficulties in children*. That's right. More trees, less awful. :-)What's really fascinating about this is that it's so...

It worked wonders!
It loosened things up. I constantly remind myself now to relax/depress my shoulders when I'm tired or in pain - that helps prevent it. Rolling or heat helps too.
My best advice is comfrey oil. Get some pure comfrey oil from a health store and rub it on the knots a lot. Every night. It's very very good (the only herb with actual research to back it up).
Other things to try: after hot shower or hot bath, do neck stretches (look up neck stretches for arthritis). This can help, at least for a short while.
Get a soft vinyl ball (a kids ball, like for a 5 yr old). Lie and slowly roll on that.
For me, nothing really helps except medication combined with stretching. Document that you're doing the stretches for your neck after a hot soaking bath. Write down how the neck pain interferes with normal life's activities and ask for a referral to a rheumatologist. That should wake the doc out of his/her slumber.
You could also ask for a small number of pills and be sure to start with a quarter piece of the smallest dose tablet. Show you aren't going to abuse/sell these pill.s
