I swear I was adopted. (I know I wasn't, I just am saying that because I'm the only one with fibro and pcos and infertility and cfs.. and all the other things I have since been diagnosed with..)
Wondering if it would be worth getting tested for this gene defect if only to help in the research of Fibro. (No more babies allowed for me, but not due to infertility.)
I wouldn't link the two as far as miscarriages go...
I found this Blog -- its more specific to the 1298C mutation-- which correlates with Fibro etc... ( NOT a cure- we all know there isn't one)
People who have MTHFR mutations have an interruption in the Methylation Pathway." This is the focus here and basically whats important -- well done blog.

I had 3-4 miscarriages, but always attributed that to PCOS and my hormone issues. But, now that I have been in menopause since 39 and researching that to see the relationship with thyroid...and thyroid can be related to heart issues... Who knows? Maybe this mutation does have a hand in all the interplay. The tangled webs are more intricate than doctors want our bodies to be. Rarely can one organ or system be treated in isolation.
BTW, Sublingual b12 is absorbed best. Antacids prevent absorption, but then no one takes antacids just for the heck of it, so if you are taking them, there's a good reason.
