The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
I had my MRI today of my thoracic spine and brain. I got an email that new test results were posted so l logged on to my healthcare provider's website to see what they were. I haven't talked to my doctor yet but am trying to figure it out.
What does xsx probably from fibromyalgia mean? It also say can consult with rheumatologist if I want a second opinion. That was on my thoracic spine. All the research on fibro says it doesn't do any damage to the body. I have had numbness and tingling in my spine between my shoulder blades for many years, long before I had a fibro flare. I have an appointment with new rheumatologist next week.
The MRI on the brain is weird and kind of scares me. It says:
Low lying cerebellar tonsils (9 mm below the foramen magnum) but with a
preserved rounded configuration most likely related to anatomic variance
rather than suggestive Chiari I malformation.
All that comes up is Chiari results, even when I narrow the search. I am over anxious to talk to my doctor. I do have an appointment with a neurologist in 2 weeks.
I kind of wish I wouldn't have checked my email.
Hope you all are doing well and have a great evening.

First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

Anatomic variance is fairly common. I am a rarity in that my brain MRI does in fact look lile the textbook. But my abdomen? OMG. The technospeak would have sent me screaming if I did not have enough Nerd to translate it into "Gee, my uterus is icky, big shock."
See the rheumy, make sure they have te MRI at least a few days ahead of time, and do not ask DR. Google, okay? he never went to med school and has no MD. Generally, if they see anything "actionable" or of serious concern, you know within 72 hours at most in my experience.
