That was by far the worst MRI I have ever had and I have had many. I had to have 2 in a row both on my stomach with my arm above my head with my arm in the worst possible position and twisted like- oh and dont move.
I am still recovering from it . I never lay on my stomach because of my lumbar-sacral problems and the position I had to have my arm in was pure torture. I did get a small break between the 2 MRIs to walk around etc and I took a pain pill.
So, I practically got no sleep that night and had to see my Dr the next day .
Oddly, they had my results already , which is weird because I left the MRI place the night before at 1030 pm . So, I have a partial thickness tearing of the common extensor tendon origin of the lateral epicondyle. She said I have to let it heal and could take months (it has already been 3 months).
The new crushing pain she said is probably a nerve pain. I opted to wait and see if the nerve pain improves for now. It started after my near accident , when I grabbed the steering wheel really hard and bracing to be t boned.
While I am thankful they didnt find anything horrible - the possible more several months for it to heal and the pain improve doesnt make me happy at all.
I may decide to see an ortho again - because this is all coming from my medical Dr., But for now , I just need to tend to my owies and take care of myself.

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...

Well..my thyroid might be a problem. I have a high TSH but normal T4. TSH increases when your thyroid isn't producing enough thyroid hormones...if only the TSH is high, it could be early or subclinical. Will wait and see if they want to do anything about that or just recheck it at some point. Either it'll even out or my T4 will drop. Meanwhile it's hot and I'm working with Karen, and I have no...

Thinking of you and hope this turns around quickly for you.
I agree with the others that you should see an ortho for a second opinion. I hope by the time that you read this, you've been able to get some sleep and your pain levels are a bit better. Sending good thoughts and a hug your way!
I probably should see a different ortho. I still feel traumatized from the first one I saw in January. What a witch she was. I finally spoke with someone at the hospital ( that this DRs office is owned by) in patient relations a few weeks ago , they were going to 'investigate" my huge complaint and get back to me. Seems like 2 weeks would be plenty of time. They are probably being very thorough , because I told the person I talked to that I was prepared to get a lawyer.
I would like to see an ortho to clarify activity restrictions etc and to see if the splint I have been wearing for 21/2 months is appropriate for a tear, and ask about the new nerve pain, and if anything else would help like a steroid shot or anything a medical Dr wouldnt be aware of. I dont feel like I have any direction re the above from my medical Dr .
