mentholatum rub

I woke up this morning with horrible pain in my shoulders I had ran out of bengayso I tried the mentholatum rub.It worked so well ...but I was a little stinky for awhile.

Glad to hear you found some relief. It seems most of the rubs are stinky. IcyHot, Mineral Ice, etc., all stink really bad to me.

I use bio-freeze, no smell. I've used IceCold also, works just as well as bio-freeze but does smell for awhile.

I don't use rubs I just plaster on Solonpas pain patches. I have used the little ones for years and could not be with out them. Now they some bigger ones that are way too pricey for me.

lalab how long do the solonpos patches work? Are they a cold or heat treatment?

You can leave them on for at least 8 hours, they have menthol, salicylic acid and I think camphor. (not sure of the spelling for all those) They are 2x3" patches and you can get 120 at Costco for 5.99 and they go on coupon at least three times a year.

Made in Japan and for me they work. I use them on my neck, shoulders and feet mostly......look like big band-aids!

I use Tiger Balm rub and patches. It's more heat than cold which is great for me because I can't stand cold things. Cold feels like daggers to me. It has more of a clove smell to me and a little goes a long way.
Hope this helps someone who hasn't found relief from other rubs/patches.

I like Arnica Gel and Tiger Balm patches. I just tried Salon Pas and did not find them helpful at all.
