Looking for honest opinions

Lately Ive been playing with the idea of getting an electric blanket.....  Does anyone in this group have one??  If so, does it really help with the ease of pain that we suffer from with fibro???  Is there a specific brand that works better than another???  Because I want to get 2 of them one for my fiancee's apt but not going to get a queen that would fit our bed down there because hes always hot even in the winter time and he says he doesnt trust them so I was thinking of getting a twin size one for that bed then for my bed I was going to get one to fit my bed sooo I was looking for any and all opinions to take into consideration.....  Thank you in advance........

I hope you will get some answers from others. I can't use electric blankets as that would wreck havoc on my rashes. Have you tried google search if electric blankets help pain? I do a lot of google searching LOL

I LOVE mine, plus i have 2 electric throws for the living room. BEST investment ever!!!!!

I use to but when my sister moved out so did they hmmm what does that mean?? I loved them!! They were the best investment ever! I plan to get more.

I had one, no idea in which move it disappeared. I found it helpful for flares. Bonus: my cat LOVED it! Mine was just a cheap one from Walgreens but I liked that it had an auto shut off feature (I think it was for 2 hours) since I too had fears about it overheating.

I Loved my electric blanket before I moved to where we have no real winter cold. The auto shutoff was awesome (mine was from Target). Now I just make do with throwing a blanket in the dryer and "warming it" enough, but oh, the ease of the gentle body-hugging warmth, aaaahhhhh.

I have an electric throw. I put it over my feet when I go to bed. (I used to have such cold feet at night, I put them in the bathtub in hot water to warm them up to sleep). Now I never have to do that. In the morning I'm usually in pain so I move it up to my hips. I had a very fluffy one but it broke pretty quickly. The new one I use over the covers. My brother has a fabulous one that I use when I'm there. It came from Nordstroms, and it has two sided controls. Very soft and fluffy. I use it at his house, and I need it desperately, since I'm usually in the basement and it gets cold. I tried to buy one for myself but they weren't carried anymore. I should ask my sister-in-law to send it to me, but it's good to have it there.

thank you all who answered..... I think I will def get one.... For me I'd use it all year round because down at my fiancees apt he has the a/c on super blast it feels like 100 below in his apt lol i always turn it down it still doesnt help I usually end up coming up to my apt to sleep lol...... so if I get 2 that would be great..... would love & hope to find the throw for down his apt...

I just have an electric heating pad, but it's more like a shawl I wrap around my shoulders. I sleep with it and love it. AND I live in Hawaii where the temps don't get colder than 50 in my area. I swear I have a heated blanket packed away in a box somewhere, I know I saw the cord (in the box with all the other misc cords) when we moved recently.
I definitely recommend getting one, especially since your fiancee blasts the A/C all the time.
