My doctors appt went as I thought it would. I tore my rotator cuff. Two weeks in a sling with no use of my arm. Then if it isn't better I wil see a surgeon. She didn't sound hopeful. I have vicodin for the pain. But the real pain is not using my arm. I will have to do pt for awhile either way. love to you all.

Fun facts to up your day:The Big Bang wasn't IN space... it was OF space. How does that happen? Well, now you know why I'm NOT a physicist. Cuz I dunno. It just happened. Thena gain a new hypothesis is that our "black energy/matter" is actually waste dumped in our universe from somewhere else's black holes. How and all that? Don't ask. Wellw e're two days into the new season (autumn in the Northern, spring in the Southern). And finally, it feels like it might stay! No, wait, 80s F again. Ugh. Oh well.***In 1869, Wall Street did one of its first spectacular crashes, after the ever-unscrupulous and a-holish Jay Gould and James Fisk decided to corner gold. Since we were not yet back on the gold standard after our little unCivil...

Keep us informed on how you are doing. I'm sure this is really awful for you.
I hope you are honest with your doctor about the pt. I say that because many rotator cuff patients find that pt makes it worse. I was one of those.
If it helps you, great. But speak up if it doesn't.
Maybe these days surgery has progressed. At one time only half of patients said that it cured their problem. But that was years ago when I had my problem. Mine eventually went away after a LONG time. You probably have already discovered this but in case not I suggest you wear your sling in bed. Please get second opinion about surgery.
I also am touched that in the midst of your pain you reached out to help me. I might take you up on your offer to talk because I feel alone but must stay alone.
Love, Lynn
Wolf I am wearing it to bed and unfortunately I am used to sleeping on my right side and now can't. I will take your wisdom and will speak up if I feel that what they are doing isn't helping. If it comes to surgery you can be sure I will get a second opinion first. I try to be here for all of you as much as humanly possible. I am having trouble concentrating now because they have me on pain meds. All I want to do is sleep but can't find a position that is comfortable. All I have to do is flinch or move and I wish I could just cut it off. I know that with time and work I will be able to heal it.
