Well, people, are you ready for the latest finding on FM? It is now being "proven" that FM is not located in the brain but they "believe" it comes for the sensory information in the hands.
The "findings" are:
Hand nerves which were originally thought to regulate blood pressure is aggravated/inflamed/swollen more so than in regular people. This excessive blood pressure then creates pain which is sent to the brain.
I suppose this is interesting, however, I would wonder which came first the pain or the engorged blood in the hands?
Myself, I've a TEAM of new drs. (HA!) that are supposed to help but I am starting back to square 1. All the medical evidence of 12 yrs has been "tossed" and now the newbies are trying to "fix" me.
I was as stable as I could be with the prior Dr. God help me! I'm in debt, in pain, and at the mercy of "expert medical care"!!

12 yrs of treatment tossed to the side because my dr retired and I am at the mercy of newbies who are terrified I may be a drug seeker. PLEASE! Could it be we are TRULY suffering and need them to realize that the drug addict/abuser isn't everyone who screams I need pain medicine!
On the legitimate research side, it's still neurological and there is nothing to suggest that's going to change.
