I just heard of a "supplement" made from the leaves of the Mitragyna speciosa plant, called kratom which is supposed to have pain relieving properties. It has been around for a long time in Southeast Asia.
Has anybody heard of this? The info that I've found on it ranges from great praise to stern warning. It is banned in six U.S. states, but I can't find a good reason why.

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Have you considered trying the pain relieving device Quell? Sixty day money back guarantee. I've been real happy with mine and Ice had it for about a year.
Take care.
Run it past your doctors. Always. And your pharmacists. Drug interactions alone make a lot of herbal-natural-traditional rememdies problematic. (Says the epileptic.)
I use ice, heat, stretching, meditation, anything that means I can avoid prescriptions or herbals. Bear in mind, until the antibiotic era, people hailed *arsenic* as a cure-all for sexually transmitted diseases. Yep, worked great on STDs. ALso toxic as heck to the patient.
But one bonus is that weight loss is a side effect. LOL.
It's legal so I'm probably going to try it. The docs are pulling the pain meds so I'll try anything legal. and I'll go back to slathering aspercreme all over my body, and over the counter pain meds like Advil. Tylenol... Aleve .. tnot much else I can do and I'm dreading this because I'm going to be as miserable as I was before I even knew I had fibro.
I am really scared of how awful my pain is going to be once I'm completely off pain meds. I know that before I was diagnosed with fibro, and even shortly after, I was MISERABLE and my quality of life was awful.
I'm just so scared of losing the teeny bit of quality I have now. I sure appreciate it now. It's not much, but coming off the meds at half the dose now it's been 6 weeks, my pain level is changing everything already. Going to bed at 7 or 8pm just to sleep through the pain as much as possible, so I can take morning meds at 3,4 or 5am... and now the best of my day is mornings and slowly goes down hill in the afternoon. Mornings used to be WORST part of my da and sadly now it's the best. That's pretty telling if you ask me.
