Soo it looks like I was worried for nothing, her bloodwork is better than it's been since this whole renal tubular acidosis saga started a few years ago. Her potassium is (drumroll)...4.5! It hasn't been above 4 in well over a year, and it was down to 3.1 when we diagnosed her with RTA. Normal range is 3.7-5 and below 3.0 is critically low...she's been around 3.7 for a while now. I finally got a blood pressure on her, we've never been able to find her pulse with the doppler and I'm generally good at that-they do make BP readers like they use on people, but they aren't very accurate on cats so we use the doppler. It was a little higher than we like to see but she was literally kicking and screaming, so that's probably why. We only measure systolic BP (top number) and it was 160 ish, normal in a hospital setting is up to 150, actual normal is more like 120 max but we can't get a reading in a low stress situation. For reference, Alli's was 220 when we started her on meds. Based on all this, I'm going to assume the few ounces she lost-which is enough to be potentially concerning in a 7 lb cat-was probably related to all the changes here with Noah's death and getting 2 kittens, and she's eating a lot because she's actually doing well.

First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2.
