I'm sorry for you guys that had a bad experience!

How soon are you supposed to feel a major difference? I feel slightly better, but not comfortable yet...

What kind of doctor do I see for the Nuvigil?

Savella isn't available in Canada and might not ever be. There is a lot of controversy surrounding it as many groups claim inadequate research was done on the side effects and thus patients aren't being properly informed of the risks.

When I heard of Savella, I researched it to see if it was something in the works for Health Canada to approve. I didn't find any real comforting information. I found there is a high rate of high blood pressure among people who use Savella and that many reported no benefit from it, only adverse reactions. Of course I did read that there are people who benefit from its use. However, many groups are calling for its recall as the research has indicated it may not be as effective as the manufacturer said it would be.

Since I have such a hard time with pretty much anything made in a lab, I have decided it is probably just as well that it isn't available for me to try.

This is my second go with Savella. First time around got really sick. This time I have been on it 3 weeks so far, only 12.5 mg daily and got along okay. Today I increased it to 12.5 twice a day and seemed okay so I'm hoping that I can take it okay now! I have noticed a decrease in the fibro pain and a little more energy. I'm hoping it continues.

6 months on Savella. After a bad winter can't remember if it helped. Still get nausea a bit most days. Thinking of going back to Lexapro as I had less depression. Everybody is different, stay with it, it may really help.

I took Lexapro for several years for depression but I never thought it helped the fibro pain at all. I did notice, however, when I weaned off the Lexapro I had some pretty bad nerve pain in my left lower leg so it must have been helping a little. I seem to be tolerating the 25 mg so far as long as I take both doses before 2 pm, otherwise I can't sleep.

Its month 2 for me on Savella 100mg a day. It dont seem to be working much for me I still get pain from head to toe with Myofasical pain as well, I am thinking of uping my dose to 200 mg per day but as of now i have a sm. appetite and I've lost weight which i really dont need to loose. Also taking oxycodone and still no change. I understand for everyone its a different Journey so to everyone thats trying it or on it dont be discouraged what might not work for me just can work for you. I also understand you have to stay on at least for 3 to 4 months to see a change. So i am hanging in there. I hope you do too!

migranes.migranes.really really bad migranes, till my head literally exploded...and i looked it up- explosive head syndrome
yah - thot i was losing it...how cld i even explain tht my head exploded. but until u go thru smthin like tht,...it makes no sense.tht was my xperience with savella. it works well for the pain. but the migranes were debilitating

yes i hav had and still have those kind of migraines now thank god they are few and far between...drink lots and lots of water everyday...i know you are thinking its crazy but tey shouldn't come on a severe when yo think omne is starting drink sme caffeiene AND believe it or not stay away from tomato products.....good luckk hugs keep me posted

I just got the script and sample for the 2 week pack. I can't start it until Monday as I was put on a new pain medicine that also causes nausea (nucyenta) although this isn't helping I am really hoping the savella helps.

I have surgery (hysterectomy) in april and was really hoping to have less pain before then.

Thanks for the reminder about taking it with food. I have had terrible nausea with my new pain pill and not wanting to eat. That could be a good thing though as I can stand to loose a few (okay more than a few LOL! ) pounds.

Wow! I am so glad I saw this! My doc put me on it right before he left his practice. I was anxious and high strung. Snapped at everyone. His office wouldn't tell me where he moved to so I stopped taking it. I wasn't on it for more than 10 days. Good news is I found him and he is taking my insurance. I wonder if instead of stopping it he could adjust the dose or do something else to make it easier for me to take. I haven't heard such rave reviews about any other Fibro med. Thanks for the hope! Sick of Sick, I have had to titrate this stuff much slower than recommended. I'm on month 2 and justed 37.5 mg daily, 25 am and 12.5 pm. It does help some but I doubt I'll be running any marathons soon.

Ok, thought it was helping me, but not so sure. I'm still having the mental fogginess, and the fatigue has come back with a vengance! I'm on day two if feeling completely wiped out, and had 2 good nights of sleep! I'm at a loss... UGH! Pain is better, just not everything else.

Pleas watch yourself carefully now..Thats what happened to me and because the med was so new i was being teste for T I As wasn't fun .I was painfree but a blubbering idiot!!!!!My doc took me right off it withot even weaning down keep me posted i didn't sleep at all!!!
