Happy Friday to you all !! I have been struggling the past couple weeks and I think it's due to the weather changing - it's damp and cool in the morning and the sun comes out about 2:00 pm and it warms up for a few hour then .............. damp, cold. I somehow forget how much my body hates this weather stuff. I feel like I have the flu all the time when this happens.
I needed to share with people who understand because I still feel embarrassed and misunderstood trying to explain this to my family and friends. I just end up keeping it to myself but I think that makes me depressed.
Does anyone relate or does this make sense ? Thank you ahead of time for your response . Have a blessed day ! xo PJ

88FIn 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

Makes perfect sense to me. I'm now very sensitive to barometric pressure changes. To the point that it can make me nauseous in addition to my pain levels increasing. Also, completely heat intolerant. It is really difficult for other people to understand what they can't see. There is no reason to be embarrassed about it. It is a very common *perk* for people with Fibromyalgia. I hope that you feel better soon. Hugs!
It's not weird at all. We understand! Vent away! :-) Heck, cry too.
It's hard to explain all of these quirks to people who don't have fibro.
They'd think we were all nuts, but of course we're not.
I have been so tired lately and in so much pain in so many places!
My knees hurt at night, I have muscle cramps in my legs and I am up and down peeing all night long.
Oh the joys of having fibro.
I appreciate you all and hope you have a pain-free, feel good day ! xo PJ
If this helps at all, there are websites like ( https://weather.com/maps/health/achesandpains ) that offer aches and pains forecasts. It's more for those who have arthritis, but it helps me plan out when I'm going to be tied down with aching limbs.
But, above all, I have learned not to share with others what I experience unless they approach me. For my Hubs, he's so wonderful, he can see the pain in me and just kinda sorta yelled with love at me the other night, that when I'm in pain, he is too. That my pain effects him too. And to let him help.
Yet I still need to feel like I'm doing something, making a difference, pulling my weight around here. And he married a stubborn redhead.....so there's that too. LOL.
Learn to lean on those who understand, or your heart becomes crushed by the weight of misunderstandings.
Allow yourself days to recover or days to plan ahead.
I'm still so utterly thankful that I can go to be feeling crippled, yet wake up the next day to maybe feeling stiff/sore. I'm thankful I'm not bedridden, I'm thankful I don't need a wheelchair the rest of my life. So with that I'm thankful that my pain, while it can stop me temporarily, it can not be the end of me.
All you are experiencing is quite normal. Years ago there used to be an area or post on what we do to make it through. Things like meds when recommended, or supplements like Co-q-10, D-ribose, can help with energy/fatigue. Or how how melatonin / valerian root can help with sleep at night...and so much more.
I'm one who can't take many meds as in addition to the heat and barometer changes, I'm sensitive to chemicals too.
If you get some time, there are some good posts here from years ago. I've been online here with DS since 2008. And w/out that knowledge, I wouldn't be where I am today!
