So I went back to the doctor yesterday and talked to him about my joint pain. I forgot to mention it to the doctor on Monday as well as the UTI so I had to go back in yesterday.

Anyhow, he said my joints were a little of but there is no swelling. I told him I have more joint pain then muscle pain. But the tests he ordered did not indicate any inflammation.

Fibro is muscle pain correct? So what would account for the joint pain? I emailed my doctor and am waiting to hear back but I wanted to know if anyone else has joint pain but no inflammation.

Well according to WebMd, fibro can cause joint pain. I thought it was just muscle.

The one thing we can definitively say about fibromyalgia is that each of us is at least a little bit different.

I don't have joint pain, but I know others who do, with no indication of inflammation.

I honestly hope your doctor can find a reason for it that can be more effectively treated, but the question was if others also have that symptom, and the answer is yes, they do. Not all, but some, and it's not uncommon.

I have mainly joint pain with fatigue and some muscle pain. I have visible inflammation and much more that shows on MRI but normal blood work so they just scratch their heads. I don't think they really know.

Fibro causes pain in the soft tissues deep around the joints, the tendons, ligaments, and muscles that connect to the joints-that's what makes it so baffling. Plus many of us do have oa, or ra or specific joint disorders as well. Fibrohyg

fibro definitely includes joint pain for me.

It was so bad my husband had to help me off the couch or bed and I'd walk around for the first 5 minutes at least as if i'm 200 years old, huntched over dragging my right leg and stepping with my left....
joint pain was intolerable, which is why I ended up going to my doc.

I have tenderness all around too but that is nothing compared to the joint pains..

I also have both joint and muscle pain. Sometimes when the joint pain gets really bad I go in to get a b12 shot and it helps alot. Hope you feel better soon.

I had an attack of joint pain a few weeks ago, it is almost indescribable. Just woke up with excruciating pain in my knees, BOTH KNEES. It felt like they were huge from swelling but there was no swelling at all! I was screaming in pain. It lasted 2 days. Then all of a sudden it happened in my ankles again in my wrists. I thought it was Gout but all my Dr. could says is its part of Your Fibromyalgia. :(

My joint pain is worse than the pain in the muscles. My muscles always feel like lactic acid build up, like the day after when excercising to much, as in the old days before fibro!

I don't have any swelling, just random pain, ankles or wrists or back or
wherever it strikes next.

I have terrible joint pain. My knees are the worst. Sometimes I have to crawl to get up the stairs.

I have lots of pain that I don't know eher it's coming from...ha...sometimes the pain feels like some creatures are playing a game inside..today my head was about to explode...if the dr's find no inflammations then it's probably fibro...the thing is that maybe we need to be more educated about this syndrome.

when I have a fibro flare i also get an arthritis flare too! So my joints hurt too!
