Does anyone else have issues with jewelry? It's almost impossible for me to wear it. The moment I try, my ears feel like they are being pinched and / or start to burn (I have pierced ears, btw, not clip ons), necklaces feel like they strangle me, same with bracelets, or they just feel irritating the point I can't stand it. I've tried multiple kinds of jewelry, from different metals to different beads, or leathers, etc. I just gave up. And the worse part is, people continue to give me jewelry for birthdays and Christmas presents. But I don't want to hurt their feelings.
I haven't read or seen anyone post about this topic so I was wondering if I was alone in my defeated battled against jewelry.

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...

In addition I found out a few years ago that I needed hearing aids so they gave me two (to the tune of $3200 that is) but I couldn't even wear them as it felt like I had gnats in my ears the entire time I had them in. At least I got most of my money back as they did charge me a restocking fee for using them.
Nowdays I just turn the TV up when I need to hear it but when you live by yourself & would have to shout for a neighbor to hear you you can get away with it. haha
We'e actually had this topic show up before, but not the last couple years, so it's a good reminder, b/c I usually had no trouble and now I do.
Also, I wear sweats or jammies around the house all the time. Comfort is the key! Love my crocs too. I don't care what they look like.
FYI I once had a very good acupuncturist tell me that in some people, wearing metal can increase pain levels.
I have three drawers of beautiful jewelry not being worn, sigh...
Leo, yeah it didn't happen over night for me either. Seems the list has grown over the years.
Fantod, thanks for that information. I never heard of that and it's good to know.
And rings... I had to stop wearing my engagement ring because of the little stone on it. Whenever it would turn to the side and rub one of the neighboring fingers it would drive me nuts. My husband keeps asking when will I wear it again. I tried to tell him he's lucky I wear the wedding ring (which is smooth).
This sounds like aa funny or strange response but............ I am a dental hygienist and have been for 35 years.
I have noticed over the years that people would come in with red, bleeding gums where they have crowns that have metal margins. In looking into it - the metal is non-precious and has a lot of nickel in it. There are also patients with crowns that are gold , a precious metal and they don't have the negative tissue response. So my theory is that a lot of people have nickel sensitivities or allergies and..........
possible non-precious allergies. Not sure if you could tolerate gold or platinum but they are precious metals so you might have a better chance. I have to wear precious metals and nickel free for sure.
I hope that is helpful. Blessings, PJ
